OANDA Prototypes adds Units and Margin Order Inputs for fxTrade Desktop to project list

The feature is set to enhance users’ experience when it comes to New Orders on OANDA’s fxTrade Desktop platform.

Further to FinanceFeeds’ report about OANDA Corporation inviting traders to provide their feedback regarding new features and functionalities, we have noticed that the list of open projects on OANDA Prototypes website is expanding.

The latest addition to the list of projects concerns the fxTrade Desktop platform – the novel functionality is “Units and Margin Order Inputs”.

This idea is in tune with the broker’s efforts to explore new ways to make New Order experience smoother and overall – better. With this new concept, traders will be able to enter a trade by setting the amount of units, or by setting the amount of margin they would like to use.

Pressing the “View” button next to a project enables anyone interested to observe details of a project. In Comment mode, one can leave notes and suggestions by simply clicking anywhere on the screen.

Currently, the OANDA Prototypes webpage is asking traders for feedback regarding several other proposals for new features on fxTrade Desktop. For instance, the Improved Rates Panel is set to offer an advanced Rates List which shows a pair’s OHLC, and Daily % Change in order to provide users with a market snapshot of the market. Users can toggle between a simple or advanced view thus gaining access to more detailed information when they need it.

Another useful feature for fxTrade Desktop is Portfolio, which enables traders to see graphically how close a trade is to triggering its Stop Loss or Take Profit. Speaking of graphs, another feature that needs feedback is the Exposure Graph, which enables traders to get see their exposure and whether they are generating profits or incurring losses in a given region.

OANDA Prototypes comprises a set of projects OANDA’s User Experience Design and Development teams are currently working on. The website seeks to enable a wider audience to become an integral part of the designing and development process at the company.
