Dash added to unique trading platform Whaleclub

Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin, has been integrated as a base currency on Whaleclub’s unique trading platform. The partnership means Dash users can trade against Oil, Gold, Stocks, Forex and Bonds seamlessly and instantly, unlocking a brand new way to make potential gains on the rise and fall of traditional markets. Whaleclub, based in Hong Kong, has facilitated over $1.5 billion USD in trades since its inception last year, and processes about $10 million USD in volume every 24 hours.

VP of Dash Business Development Daniel Diaz said, “Whaleclub is a one-of-a-kind service. It offers access to trade traditional financial markets using Dash, opening up a completely new universe of options for our users and another great use case for Dash’s worldwide versatility. Not only will this allow current Dash investors to trade traditional markets like, stocks, metals, forex and bonds, it may also attract new investors that want to trade traditional markets but maybe find regulatory hurdles and minimum trading requirements on those markets too big of a challenge to overcome.”

With the integration now complete, Dash users can sign up to Whaleclub and trade against more than 50 different assets, withdraw earnings as they arise, let their investment grow, or simply add more Dash to trade larger amounts. Leverage trading up to 200x is also available.

Diaz added, “Whaleclub is like a futures exchange where people can speculate on the performance of traditional markets and look for short term or long term margins. It’s a very original product that will most certainly draw more Dash users, and we are excited to build a long term partnership with the professional and transparent team at Whaleclub.”

Chief Product Officer at Whaleclub Ian Glindro said, “We were impressed with Dash’s payment network growth, innovation, and DAO structure, so when the Dash team approached us about a potential partnership and Whaleclub integration, we were very excited to get that built. Dash users can now sign up to Whaleclub with just an email (no ID verification) from anywhere in the world, deposit Dash, and start trading within minutes. We expect strong demand as the Dash ecosystem continues to grow globally and investors look for a capable and ambitious Bitcoin alternative.”

Whaleclub matches trades internally at no cost to traders. There are no executions fees, orders are filled in 1 click instead of tranches (no slippage), and stop and take-profit orders execute at the prices set, reducing risk and trading costs as compared to a traditional order book exchange.

Whaleclub also accepts Bitcoin as a base currency to cater to a wider array of users. Already, 20,000 customers are active on the platform and growth in the Asian market is strong.

Glindro said, “We operate an internal matching model powered by digital currency only. We’re not bogged down by liquidity issues or antiquated fiat processes, and this gives us a lot of room to innovate. We are seeing fast adoption in Asia because demand for digital currency is on the rise, particularly in Japan, Korea and China. Dash has shown healthy signs of growth and is starting to command mindshare in Asia. Further internationalization efforts by the Dash team will likely accelerate that growth because exchange and trading services will serve as a beachhead for Dash in the Asian market.”

Whaleclub plans to release over 75 new markets by the end of 2017, spanning cryptocurrencies, Forex, stocks, and commodities.

Ryan Taylor Appointed Dash Core Project CEO as Founder Evan Duffield Officially Transitions to Senior Advisor

Dash’s Director of Finance, Ryan Taylor, has been appointed as CEO of the Dash Core Project. The appointment comes as Dash Founder Evan Duffield today announced he is transitioning to an advisory role, officially departing from day-to-day duties at one of the world’s most valuable and prominent cryptocurrency projects. The appointment was unanimously agreed upon by Duffield and the Dash Core, the democratically-elected body responsible for the development, marketing and expansion of the Dash ecosystem.

Dash Core CEO Ryan Taylor has been a key contributor to Dash since mid-2014. He left a traditional Wall Street career in March 2016 to join the Dash Core full-time helping accelerate Dash’s progress in becoming a blockchain industry leader and global payments network. Before joining Dash, Taylor was a hedge fund analyst covering a global stable of payments industry investments for the private equity and public market funds of a $20 billion investment firm based in New York, and previously served as an Associate Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Business Technology Office in New York.

While no changes are being made to the Dash blockchain governance, voting and treasury model, today’s appointment provides the Dash Core organization with an experienced leader in the financial services industry. Taylor’s responsibilities will include leading organizational growth, maintaining the project vision, and overseeing communications with Dash partners and investors.

Evan Duffield said, “Since the beginning, my ambition was to create a sustainable and resilient blockchain project without any singular points of failure. Today’s announcement has been in development for many months, and I am proud to have helped Dash become the extraordinary project it is today.”

Duffield added, “For the last several months, daily operations and technology development at Dash Core have been led by now-CEO Ryan Taylor and CTO Andy Freer. Our most recent software upgrade – deployed in February – was developed and released without my hands-on involvement. Thanks to the Dash Core, our developers, advisors, masternode operators and every single user around the world, the upgrade was the smoothest yet.”

Duffield plans to focus on other projects aimed at expanding Dash’s ecosystem, but will remain available to offer advice and consultation to the Dash Core and its developers.

Newly appointed CEO of the Dash Core Ryan Taylor said, “Evan is one of the most gifted minds in blockchain and fintech. He created something that will have a permanent and lasting impact on many people across the world in a rapidly evolving economy. The Dash Core team is committed to ensuring that we follow the grand vision Evan laid for Dash. Today, we have extensive resources in place to deliver that vision. Dash is fast becoming a popular payment option for many thousands of people around the world, and we look forward to announcing further progress in the near future as we create compelling and relevant solutions aimed at everyday people.”

In the first quarter of 2017, the Dash Project announced several milestone partnerships and the implementation of the highly anticipated Sentinel software upgrade which is a stepping stone towards an industry-first decentralized payments system called Evolution.

Taylor said, “The beauty of a blockchain-based project is decentralization, the dispersion and distribution of functions and powers. Since its inception, Dash has been the benchmark of decentralized success; our unique governance model ensures an ownership mindset that is designed to improve the state and functionality of the Dash network and increase the network’s value. Together with Evan, we built the world’s first self-sustainable decentralized autonomous organization with a substantial organic budget, and there’s so much more to come.”

Dash has a full pipeline of integrations in place and high-level business partnerships in progress. Now headquartered from Arizona State University’s SkySong Innovation Center, the Dash Core team recently announced its plan to add over 20 new positions, including development, customer support, infrastructure support, marketing, and administration.

Digital Currency Dash Added To Kraken

Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin, today announced a historic partnership with one of the world’s oldest bitcoin exchanges with the largest selection of digital assets and national currencies, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange. The world’s fifth most valuable cryptocurrency is now open for trading on the platform with buy and sell pairings including DASH / EUR, DASH / USD, and DASH / BTC. The partnership between Dash and Kraken comes in the wake of a record surge for the cryptocurrency, which experienced a 6x increase in price per ($11 to $72 USD) and a 10x increase in trading volume ($3 million to $30 million USD) across Q1.

Dash VP of Business Development, Daniel Diaz, said “Kraken is excited to offer Dash on their trading platform and our teams are working closely to ensure clients can begin trading the currency immediately. Kraken is an incredibly well established and well structured organization, and amongst the best in the exchange business. In terms of reputation, they represent the highest standard for client satisfaction. Dash is a project that has implemented very original ideas that resonate well with the market, and as a top tier exchange, Kraken’s mission is to provide clients with access to digital currencies that are in demand and provide value.

Following several business partnerships around the world, the implementation of the Sentinel software upgrade and the announcement of revolutionary decentralized payments system called Evolution, Dash has been on record breaking trajectory. Its total market cap skyrocketed from $78 million USD (January 1st) to an all time high of $835 million USD (March 18th), with new international markets unlocked alongside user demand.

Daniel Diaz continued, “As the leading exchange in the Euro market, Kraken’s global reach helps Dash successfully meet the needs of our users and investors. The entire integration experience was very positive and we have high expectations for the partnership going forward. This is a significant achievement for Dash because our ecosystem needs high quality and trustworthy exchanges like Kraken to thrive, and we know they will play an important role as a fiat gateway.”

Founded in 2011, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange is one of the world’s largest and oldest bitcoin exchanges with the widest selection of digital assets and national currencies. Based in San Francisco with offices around the world, Kraken’s trading platform is consistently rated the best and most secure digital asset exchange by independent news media. Trusted by hundreds of thousands of traders, institutions, and authorities, including Germany’s BaFin regulated Fidor Bank, Kraken is the first exchange to display its market data on the Bloomberg Terminal, pass a cryptographically verifiable proof-of-reserves audit, and one of the first to offer leveraged margin trading. Kraken investors include Blockchain Capital, Digital Currency Group, Hummingbird Ventures, Money Partners Group, and SBI Investment

Kraken is expected to offer Dash margin trading in the near future.

Dash Enhances Global Reach, partnering with a Broker in Europe and an Exchange in Russia

Dash, the world’s third most valuable digital currency and the rising alternative to Bitcoin, today announced two partnerships that will enhance customer bases in Europe and Russia. BitPanda, formerly known as Coinimal, has added a buy option for Dash on its online brokerage, while Moscow’s leading exchange, MaRSe, has integrated the digital currency in the wake of a historic price rise and sustained market demand.

VP of Dash Business Development Daniel Diaz said, “We are very excited about Dash being added to BitPanda and to MaRSe. We are focused on improving access to Dash for users across the planet and it’s exciting to see spikes in demand from places like Europe and Russia. Firstly, BitPanda is the type of high quality broker we need on the Dash ecosystem; they offer multiple payment options as well as Bitcoin and Ethereum integration so it’s huge news for European users. Secondly, MaRSe is the largest and most reputable Russian exchange for bitcoin and now Dash, so we expect trading volumes to increase.”

After a series of strategic business partnerships and software upgrades from January through March, Dash’s token valuation has catapulted from $11.21 to $90.40 USD, representing an approximate 800% increase in Q1.

BitPanda CEO Eric Demuth said, “Recently we observed a significant increase in demand within our customer base for Dash. We carefully observe the market before we add a new technology to our platform. Continuous development as well as a stable community are important parameters for us. Therefore we have decided to add Dash on BitPanda.com.”

The partnership with BitPanda will allow anyone in Europe to purchase Dash instantly with Visa, Mastercard, Sofort, SEPA, Neteller, Skrill and EPS/Giropay.

Headquartered in the heart of Moscow, off-line exchanger MaRSe previously worked exclusively with Bitcoin, but added Dash due to community demand. People are now able buy and sell Dash for rubles, with the exchange rate tied to the current exchange rate on BTC-e.

Daniel Diaz added, “We are working around the clock to pave the way to mainstream adoption and Dash is becoming prevalent in many important regions globally. We are proud to gain allies in companies like BitPanda and MaRSe because they are focusing on projects that are playing a leading role in the transformation of finance through blockchain technology.”

US Blockchain Tech Company Unveils Next Generation Digital Currency Tax Software

Node40, one of the world’s largest blockchain infrastructure hosting service, has built a game-changing software product that allows every single American to properly report their digital currency gains to the taxman. Node40 Balance, available for Dash users today and Bitcoin users later this year, is setting a completely new standard in precision and simplicity because it calculates net gains and losses for every single transaction made throughout the calendar year, and rolls it all into the IRS approved Form 8949 with attachable worksheets for the user; an industry breakthrough given the First In First Out (FIFO) method currently used by competitors often causes gross misreporting. Node40 Balance, two years in the making, has been under comprehensive beta testing using real-world use cases. The product has been anticipated by high frequency Dash traders, miners, accountants, lawyers and tax professionals.

CEO of Node40 Perry Woodin said, “Node40 Balance is a feature packed blockchain accounting service that brings the familiarity of services like QuickBooks or TurboTax to the world of digital currency. Node40 Balance analyzes the blockchain and provides valuation data for all of your transactions. You annotate your transactions according to your real-world needs and Node40 Balance provides reports with your gains, losses, and income. What makes Node40 Balance unique is the precision in which gains and losses are calculated. A simple FIFO strategy is not sufficient for dealing with digital currency transactions. Node40 Balance uses the true carrying cost and days held to calculate precise valuations that ensure you are not over-reporting your tax liability.”

The need for innovation like this is vast for two simple reasons. Firstly, government direction for tax reporting digital currency has been ambiguous at best, given that the IRS policy for digital currency users was last updated in 2014. Although it is clear that digital currency is taxed as a property, most people are unsure how to properly calculate gains, losses, and income from incredibly small fractions of a currency with different valuations and different days held. Secondly, current means of tax reporting are categorically flawed; people currently self report without taking minute-by-minute price fluctuations into consideration, or use existing software that favors aesthetics over accuracy.

“The burden of calculating tax liability falls completely on the user. Most people do one of two things; use software that does not calculate the level of accuracy that we required, or go to accountants who will apply a very simple FIFO strategy to determine gains or losses, which we know to be incorrect. This strategy works well for traditional investments where you are selling whole units, but it is not a good strategy for digital currency. When transacting in digital currency, most transactions will have multiple inputs, each with a different cost basis. Unless you are able to create an exact transaction, the cost basis of the change needs to be tracked along with the amount of days carried. Users of Dash and Bitcoin, both experiencing meteoric rises this year, have genuinely been crying out for a product like this for a long time. We anticipate significant demand,” Woodin said.

Node40 Balance is a A Software as a Service (SaaS) available for purchase by subscription at one, three, and twelve month durations, as well as a free trial period. The product caters to every demographic because individuals, small business, large corporations and government departments meet their tax reporting obligations at varying times of the year.

“As a company that accepts digital currency as payment for service, we do not want to over or under pay our tax liability, nor let our customers do so either. In business and in life, every penny counts. If you aren’t accurately calculating your gains, losses, and income, you could end up leaving money on the table. We want this to become an indispensable tool for every digital currency user across America,” Woodin said.

Dash added to world’s largest digital asset exchange, Bitfinex

Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin, is being added to the world’s largest digital asset exchange by USD, Bitfinex. The platform addition comes into effect at 1pm EST today, allowing traders to make online buys and sells between the third most valuable cryptocurrency, USD and bitcoin (DASH/BTC & DASH/USD).

Dash is currently undergoing a historic rise in value. Previously one of the most stable coins, Dash began the year at $11 per and is now trading at $44 per coin. From January 1st to today, trading volume is up by a staggering 22x, and Dash’s market cap has zoomed to over $320 million USD, more than double that of every digital currency except Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Dash VP of Business Development, Daniel Diaz said, “The partnership is recognition of the way the market has been responding to Dash’s vision and roadmap. I am a firm believer that the free market will always recognize true value when growth and performance is sustained over long periods of time. Partnering with Bitfinex is a very important step for Dash as we look to provide good, regulated on and off ramps to the network that really make user applications easier. Dash is in a transition towards the regulated fiat exchanges that will make it a lot easier for users and investors to move in and out of the Dash economy, which will reduce friction and allow Dash to trade directly for fiat currencies in the more popular exchanges in the blockchain industry.”

While the entire industry has continued on an upward trajectory this year, Dash is growing at a much faster rate than any other digital currency. In 2017, Bitcoin’s price is up 22% and Ethereum’s is 57%; however Dash has experienced the strongest growth by far, up 295% and peaking at $60 USD per coin on March 2. Driving Dash’s phenomenal surge is the implementation of its large-scale software upgrade, several strategic business partnerships and the impending rollout of an industry-first decentralized payments system called Evolution.

Diaz continued, “The Dash project has shown focus in what is most important for the users; fast, reliable and cost effective transactions. Dash also has a well defined software development roadmap and a strong business development pipeline; the combination of these things has led to a surge in popularity and has naturally attracted the attention of the largest exchanges in the blockchain industry.”

Bitfinex, headquartered out of Hong Kong, has the most liquid order book in the world and is one of the most popular marketplaces for altcoin trading, moving over $50 million USD every 24 hours. Founded in 2012, Bitfinex also offers leveraged margin trading through a peer-to-peer funding market.

Bitfinex Chief Strategy Officer Phil Potter said, “Bitfinex is extremely excited to be adding Dash to our exchange. Dash is currently experiencing its breakout moment right now and we want to be able to provide our growing customer base with seamless access to one of the rising stars in our space. Bitfinex prides itself on being the world’s largest digital asset exchange by USD. We expect an incredibly strong market for Dash and we look forward to a tremendous partnership with their team.”

Dash is currently the third most traded coin. Until now, most of its 24 hour trading volumes, averaging around $50 million USD, occurred across Poloniex and BTC-E.

“Anyone that has been in the digital currency space long enough knows that one of the most difficult things in crypto still today is getting access to coins. Our users will be thrilled to have more options to buy Dash directly without having to go through other digital currencies, making interaction with our blockchain even more friendly,” Diaz said.

Dash Partners with Wall of Coins to Help Users Exchange Crypto for Cash

Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin, has today announced a partnership with Wall of Coins that allows people to buy and sell Dash from a nearby bank or financial services branch. Dash users will now be able to exchange the 3rd most valuable cryptocurrency at major national banks such as Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo, as well as financial service companies like MoneyGram and Western Union. The partnership provides the growing number of Dash traders and investors, who currently have to buy Dash from a digital exchange using other cryptocurrencies, with the ability to convert cash to Dash near immediately. Given the extraordinary rise of Dash this year, with their total market cap soaring from $78 million USD to a record high of $233 million USD, the partnership with Wall of Coins is timely.

Dash Director of Finance Ryan Taylor said, “One of the biggest barriers for consumers getting into a new cryptocurrency like Dash is obtaining their first coins. With most services, there is a lot of friction involved. You need to sign up for an account, verify your identity, wait for account approvals, and transfer funds from a bank account. The entire process can take days. Wall of Coins makes this process much simpler, and allows users to purchase Dash immediately at tens of thousands of physical locations in twelve countries. And since Wall of Coins is supporting our InstantSend feature, transactions leveraging the Wall of Coins system will be blazingly fast. It also gives the community another way to sell their Dash, often at a premium to the rates available on traditional exchanges.”

Wall of Coins is a web based platform that allows users to buy Bitcoin and Dash with cash, or sell Bitcoin and Dash for cash, in a peer-to-peer manner. Through an easy step-by-step process on the Wall of Coins website, customers are instructed to deposit cash at a local financial institution, and in a matter of minutes, receive Dash or Bitcoin directly to a software wallet of their choice. They can then sell their cryptocurrency holdings to Wall of Coins, and withdraw the corresponding cash value at their closest financial institution.

Robert Genito, Project Director at Wall of Coins said, “We have become the first service to let people get Dash directly with paper money, and by far the fastest marketplace for it. It took us a little while, but we realized why Dash was so important in this industry; it truly is a great gift to the world. Although Bitcoin purists had immediately disregarded it and gave me pressure for talking positively about the protocol, Dash is really focused on giving people and business what they truly want: instantly-settled payments, privacy, optional transparency, and the ability to fix problems quickly.”

Albert Arellanes, Wall of Coins CMO added, “The biggest advantages to using Wall of Coins are privacy and speed without compromising safety. These are our absolute priorities. For example, it’s safe: other services put you at risk meeting strangers where you could get robbed or scammed. We know that this is completely irresponsible for peer-to-peer marketplace services to put their customers at risk. We always keep our customers safe. Even today you continue to hear countless cases of buyers and sellers getting scammed—or even harmed physically—using other services like Local Bitcoins, Paxful and Bitquick. No one has ever been scammed or harmed using Wall of Coins, and we are very proud of that.”

Through its unique governance, voting and treasury model, Dash funded the integration with Wall of Coins.

“Buying or selling Dash at physical locations in a highly secure manner has always been a capability which the community strongly supported. At our current scale, though, that wasn’t likely to happen without direct support for the integration costs. Dash’s budgeting system essentially allows the entire community to share the costs to proactively develop our ecosystem, which ultimately leads to more usefulness and a higher price. At the same time, Wall of Coins was eager to take advantage of this opportunity to grow their business with little investment risk. It really is a win for everyone involved,” Taylor said.

With the Dash network recording historic gains in value and trading volume, and the bitcoin transaction settlements remaining sluggish, Wall of Coins expects more and more investors to make the switch.

“Dash itself has raised the bar to what everyone wants: instant transactions. If you want to compete, you will have to be instant. The funds can be guaranteed to confirm when using Dash, instead of waiting for the Bitcoin blockchain to catch up. We do see customer satisfaction improving greatly, as customers are not very happy that the Bitcoin network can not give them reliable and consistent expectations. Customers want to know what to expect—they want a guarantee. When Bitcoin can not supply that, neither can we. I know that customers are going to be much more satisfied using Dash. This includes all cryptocurrency users,” Genito said.

Wall of Coins is more than a peer-to-peer marketplace because all of its services are offered through an API, allowing developers to build additional services on top of their platform.

Dash Partners with BlockPay to Enable Point of Sale Purchases at Brick and Mortar Stores

Dash, the fastest growing cryptocurrency this year, has announced a business partnership with digital payments platform BlockPay that allows people to pay for goods in Dash, directly from the merchant. The deal follows several corporate alliances the Dash team has cultivated in Q1 2017, stemming from meteoric gains in value and trading volumes across January and February. BlockPay, headquartered in Munich, is becoming wildly popular internationally, particularly in Europe and Latin America because it enables Point of Sale transactions at no cost to the merchant and extremely low fees for the consumer.

Daniel Diaz, Dash VP of Business Development said, “This partnership benefits our entire community and all future Dash users because adoption grows alongside real world applications. We found that BlockPay and Dash have very common goals and together we are educating people on how cryptocurrencies can often be a better alternative to fiat. People are really starting to understand that they do have the power to change lives. Dash is a project that has been focused a lot on usability as digital cash, and we want people to have a similar experience doing both online and Point of Sale transactions. BlockPay has taken solid steps in this direction, developing software to make it easier for brick and mortar shops to accept digital currency seamlessly.”

Dash joins several other leading cryptocurrencies available for use on the BlockPay POS platform, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Steem, Litecoin and Dogecoin.

Christoph Hering, CEO and Co-founder of BlockPay, said adding support for Dash was not a difficult decision. “We added Dash because we see a huge potential in the very active Dash community and in the underlying scaling technology of Dash. At the moment, Bitcoin has a big problem from a consumer perspective. The slow transaction speed, the high transaction fees and the speculative nature of Bitcoin make it very unsexy for everyday consumption. Now, comparing the altcoin ecosystem, many struggle with user adoption, high volatility and a missing business orientation. I think that the Dash Network is different, because it has a strong and active community, a great worker system funding growth and marketing plus an active development team that is building the right tools for mass adoption.”

As the network grows and increases its user base, Dash is focusing efforts on providing more versatility and flexibility in the way people can make everyday purchases. Users can buy products from the comfort of their home and office online, and now from hundreds of physical stores.

“BlockPay helps connect the worlds of retail and virtual currency. Because mainstream users are less familiar with the cryptocurrency culture right now, it will be important for them to experience digital currencies, at least partially, in ways they are already familiar with. Point of Sale solutions that are helping retail stores accept digital currencies in ways the public is used to help build the cultural bridges we need for widespread digital currency adoption. We also want to see a greater adoption of InstantSend. The Dash InstantSend feature is very powerful for this type of application, as it allows for secure transactions instantaneously directly from the network which is perfect for Point of Sale situations,” Diaz said.

BlockPay is one of the fastest growing Point of Sale platforms for digital currencies and boasts a global Ambassador team of over 50 people in 36 countries. Each representative is working on securing the platform implementation in hundreds of convenience stores, grocery marts, gas stations, supermarkets, hotels, and e-commerce outlets. BlockPay also natively supports Loyalty Points, 44 languages, targeted advertising, eReceipts, custom Integrations, and soon employee tracking, tipping and C-IPFS/meshnet.

“From a merchant’s perspective, BlockPay alleviates the electronic payment problems of high fees from credit card transactions, fraud, chargebacks, and rolling reserves, and provides merchants with a way to accept the next generation of digital currencies at zero cost. On the other side, BlockPay provides crypto consumers with the unique opportunity to use their favorite coins and wallets in hundreds of brick and mortar businesses around the world,” Hering said.

Dash users can pay at BlockPay terminals by scanning a QR-Code or tapping their phone on the NFC-Terminal. The payment and settlement process takes just a few seconds.

Digital Currency Dash Added to Derivative Trading Platform BitMEX

Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin, has been added to cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform BitMEX in the wake of its recent software updates and historic 24 hour trading volumes. BitMEX listed Dash on its exchange this month following the launch of its software upgrade Sentinel, and the massive increase in Dash’s liquidity and total market capitalization. Since January 2nd, Dash’s market capitalization has soared 70%, reaching its highest ever market cap of $120 million USD. 24-hour trading volumes are at never-before-seen highs, with an average of over $2 million USD worth of Dash bought and sold every day, making Dash the sixth most traded cryptocurrency in the world.

Dash Business Development Spokesman Matthew Meek said, “After observing the volumes traded on BitMEX for sometime, it was obvious that BitMEX is consistently ranking amongst the top in USD/BTC volume on a daily basis. We felt that having Dash as an offering for BitMEX’s users was an obvious choice and one that would also provide Dash with its first derivative based market, which we are excited about.”

BitMEX gives retail investors access to the global markets using cryptocurrencies and derivatives. The exchange allows for trading using up to up to 100x leverage on bitcoin, and high leverage on altcoin futures. Since November 2014, the equivalent of over $4.5 billion USD has been traded over BitMEX. Dash joins a growing roster of popular cryptocurrencies listed on the platform, including Bitcoin, Zcash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Monero, Ripple, Augur, Litecoin and Factom.

BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes said, “BitMEX aims to be the largest venue for the trading of any and all digital currency derivatives. As such, Dash belongs in our product offering. BitMEX believes financial privacy is valuable to the cryptocurrency exchange space. The first digital currency that can offer real electronic untraceable cash will be very successful. The Dash team is on the right path towards accomplishing this feat.”

Dash’s recent price and volume growth is driven in part by its recent software launch of Sentinel, which sets the foundation for the highly anticipated decentralized payments system Evolution. In parallel, Dash just opened its new headquarters at Arizona State University’s SkySong Innovation Center, the first cryptocurrency in the world with dedicated offices. Dash now sits above Ethereum Classic as the 6th most valuable cryptocurrency in the world.

KeepKey Announces Dash Integration

KeepKey, creator of the world’s most secure hardware wallet for cryptocurrencies, today announced an integration with Dash, the rising alternative to bitcoin. The partnership means users and investors will be able to store their Dash on the KeepKey device away from the risk of hackers and digital thieves, and through the inbuilt ShapeShift function, swap between other cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ethereum, namecoin, litecoin and dogecoin. Dash, currently seventh on the most valuable digital asset list with a market capitalization of more than $120 million USD, is in huge demand, particularly for its real world use cases, its effective governance model, and its InstantSend transaction capability. In September and October this year, the average 24 hour volume trading of Dash was approximately $680,000 USD; in November and December, that amount nearly doubled, and now in the opening quarter of 2017 it’s averaging close to $2 million USD per day.

CEO of KeepKey Darin Stanchfield said, “Partnering with Dash is the natural next step for KeepKey since our wallet is purely focused on security, mobility and convenience; attributes that Dash shares. KeepKey protects digital assets from hackers by limiting their exposure to the internet. With this integration, we are extending our utility, and adding one more asset users can transfer to or from directly on our device.”

Dash Director of Finance Ryan Taylor said, “As the ecosystem of services integrated with Dash continues to grow and mature, solutions to ensure user funds are stored as securely as possible is more important than ever. Because of Dash’s unique capabilities and the announcement and execution of our software upgrade, we’ve experienced triple digit price appreciation, so many of our users will love having this option available to secure the growing value of their Dash.

“We partnered with KeepKey because we aim to create the best overall experience for our users. The peace of mind and convenience that KeepKey can provide makes them a valuable addition to our family of partners. Their products also align well with our belief that the user experience should be a focus.”

This beta release means KeepKey users will be able to receive, store and send Dash on their device; Dash’s PrivateSend and InstantSend functions will not yet be supported.

“We like to listen to the community and implement new technology in response to community  requests and feedback. While hacks in today’s global information age are pervasive, and so too is the rise of cryptocurrency, more and more people are investing in a digital vault for their valuable cryptocurrencies. Crypto assets vary in their characteristics, and attract the use of different audiences for different reasons. One thing we are certain of though is the trend for investing and holding multiple types of assets is becoming increasingly popular and KeepKey helps makes this both simpler and safer,” Stanchfield said.

Since the start of this year, the entire cryptocurrency market has doubled in value, from $7 billion USD in January 2016 to over $19.9 billion USD now.

DASH Digital Cash Integrates With Living Room of Satoshi Bill Pay Service

Dash, the “better bitcoin,” has been integrated into one of Australia’s most promising cryptocurrency companies, Living Room of Satoshi, a business that has already revolutionized the way people pay their bills online. Founded only two years ago, Living Room of Satoshi was named 2015 Australian Startup of the Year award by StartupSmart for the innovative way the company allows Australians to pay their everyday bills with cryptocurrency, including rent, utilities, insurance bills, phone bills, speeding fines, credit card debt, and government tax bills. The service is linked to BPAY, an online bill payment mechanism accepted by over 45,000 companies across Australia. Today, Dash joined Bitcoin as the only alternative currency option for bill payers on Living Room of Satoshi, a company which has soared in popularity with over $2 million AUD processed in the first three quarters of 2016, a 250% increase from $800,000 AUD the previous year.

Living Room of Satoshi Founder and CEO Daniel Alexiuc said, “We attribute the success of Living Room of Satoshi to an unwavering focus on ease of use. When I pay a bill, I want the process to be as quick and easy as possible, and that attitude is reflected in every aspect of our service. Even those new to digital currencies have noted how simple our site is to use; there is no signup required, just simply enter the bill details, pay your bill, and you’re done. We have just passed the milestone of processing over $100,000 AUD per week, with no sign of slowing down.”

From humble beginnings as a privacy-centric cryptocurrency project, Dash has evolved into a next-generation payments alternative for the real world, perfectly matching the requirements for Living Room of Satoshi.

“We’ve tested other coins like Ethereum, but frequent hard forks and reliability issues made it unfeasible. Dash is perfectly suited as a payment system for bills and real world purchasing of goods and services. From the start, Dash was able to fill the holes Bitcoin created. Dash has the ability to effect transactions instantly, compared to prolonged bitcoin payments lagging over 10 minutes,” added Alexiuc.

The Dash market cap has quintupled in value in a year and experienced a 3000% increase in 24 hour trading volume from October 31, 2015 ($40,000 USD) to October 31, 2016 ($1.2 million USD).

VP of Business Development for Dash Daniel Diaz said, “We are happy to see true innovators in the space endorse Dash as the leading payment network alternative for their users. In this case, Dash’s focus on instant confirmations and usability makes it the ideal fit for Living Room of Satoshi and will dramatically enhance the user experience. The growing amount of options to use Dash as ‘digital cash’ is the result of our overall strategy to develop a smooth roadway bringing cryptocurrencies into the hand of consumers all over the world.”

Living Room of Satoshi will be tapping into Dash’s InstantSend technology when the Australian Banking Industry unleashes its New Payments Platform, scheduled for early 2017. The initiative will allow real-time bank transfers between domestic Australian banking institutions to be possible, meaning that Dash will be used to make instant, international fiat payments to any Australian bank account from anywhere in the world.

“The InstantSend feature of Dash separates them from every other cryptocurrency in the space. The integration with Living Room of Satoshi will ensure that money is sent and received faster than ever before, heightening user experience,” Alexiuc added.

Latin America’s Premier Bitcoin Conference, laBITconf, Returns to Buenos Aires

Entrepreneurs and industry enthusiasts from across the globe will gather at the fourth annual laBITconf on November 4-5 at the century-old Piazzola Tango Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Over 60 industry experts will descend on the vibrant city to discuss one of today’s most innovative financial technologies – cryptocurrency – and its limitless potential, challenges, and opportunities ahead.

“The conference aims to explore the endless opportunities that lie within digital currency and its integral component, blockchain. Year on year we see hundreds of visitors congregate at our show from every corner of the globe to gain an insight into the exciting and innovative developments being made and the opportunities in Latin America,” said Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar, CEO and Co-Founder at RSK Labs and co-founder of ONG Bitcoin Argentina, organizers of the event.

According to a recent Bitcoin Market Potential Industry (BMPI) report, Argentina tops the list of countries with the highest potential for Bitcoin adoption. After previously being held in Mexico City and Rio De Janiero, LaBITconf returns to Buenos Aires for the first time since 2013.

“Since its adoption, Bitcoin has flourished in Latin America, with Argentina leading the way. Due to numerous years of economic strife, the country became a haven for innovators to explore and develop solutions to the financial troubles. Numerous businesses, mostly hotels, began to use Bitcoin as a form of payment and ever since then, the rate of Bitcoin transactions continues to increase and the attention towards its underlying blockchain technology continues to grow”. “We chose Buenos Aires because the new government is open to understanding and promoting this technology,” said Rodolfo Andragnes, the Coordinator of the conference.

The 2016 conference will tackle some of the hottest issues in the industry including the implementation of Blockchain in global banking, digital currency regulation and compliance, and the ever growing impact of cryptocurrencies on society. Speakers will include Andreas Antonopoulos, Peter Todd, Anthony Di Iorio, Erik Voorhees, Trace Mayer, Sergio Lerner, IBM, Microsoft, and representatives of five of the largest mining companies, among many others.

Keynote speaker Anthony Di Iorio, CEO of Decentral and Jaxx, said, “Latin America bitcoin conferences are my favorite events – LaBiTConf 2016 will be my third. In fact, my favorite conference of all time was also in Argentina, at the inaugural event held in 2013. There is a great feeling of community here; the speakers form a true bond, the likes of which I have not seen anywhere else. With the notorious history of hyperinflation of local fiat and the resulting distress that it has caused to Argentina’s economy, the community’s passion for blockchain technology is very real.”

Daniel Diaz, VP of Business Development for Dash, a Platinum Sponsor of laBITconf, concluded, “laBITconf is a great conference because it provides education, adoption and an opportunity for business relationships and friendships. The Latin American market is a fertile ground for digital currencies; the political and financial situation in some countries in the region make alternative financial services more appealing to this market. People have suffered directly from inflation, capital controls and political instability for years, so we are speaking to an audience that is extremely receptive to the advantages digital currencies can offer.”

Digital Currency Dash Now Powering Shake Debit Cards

Dash, the superior alternative to Bitcoin, has announced a partnership with debit card innovator Shake that will allow customers to purchase goods and services from millions of merchants across the world. The partnership is yet another example of Dash’s unstoppable march toward adoption as a mainstream currency, solving an urgent concern for cryptocurrencies by making them useful for purchasing products or services offline.

Dash holders can now “top up” virtual or physical Shake Debit Cards and make purchases at any merchant accepting EUR and USD through Visa. Once topped up, the Shake Debit Card allows users to spend their Dash while paying merchants with their preferred fiat currency. As a result, consumers will be able to shop virtually anywhere while spending the world’s most advanced digital currency.

Dash VP of Business Development Daniel Diaz said, “This is a very exciting financial option for the Dash community. Our growing user base will now be able to keep their money in Dash and use their Shake Debit Card for common day to day expenses, regardless of the merchant accepting virtual currency or not. The addition of Dash to the Shake debit card is also one of the first commercial applications to take advantage of Dash InstantSend technology.”

CEO of Shake Jean Amiouny said, “Our collaboration with Dash heightens Shake’s user experience. Dash’s InstantSend technology, which is becoming extremely popular, enables top-ups to your debit card in seconds. We’re making crypto useable in everyday transactions. Imagine being able to travel the world and spend money like a local anywhere you go. No foreign exchange fees, no wire transfer fees, and no account blocking.”

The Shake integration follows Dash’s initiative to provide the community with alternative ways to use Dash, particularly in countries suffering from unstable economies or those with little or no access to centralized banks.

Amiouny added, “When people sign up to Shake, a virtual or plastic debit card denominated in USD or EUR is sent in the mail. We charge a small fee for the plastic card; the virtual card, downloadable on phone, is free. Our tap & pay mobile app allows users to pay using their Android phones at any contactless terminal.”

With a market cap of over $80 million, Dash is currently sits as the 7th most valued cryptocurrency in the world. Named for their rapid, industry-leading transaction times, Dash is managed by a self-funded, decentralized, self-governed organization, and can be held, spent, and received on a multitude of platforms.

“Partnering with Shake is a great solution for people whose local currency suffers from hyperinflation, are unbanked or just want to be their own banks. People can make the decision to opt-out of their failing financial systems without having to wait for merchants in their location to do it. In turn, the barriers of entry into the digital currency ecosystem are lowered, making virtual currency safer to hold,” noted Diaz.

Shake has been labeled a better alternative to commercial payment giants like Android Pay and Apple Pay because it makes consumer transactions easier while connecting merchants to the rising market of cryptocurrencies.

Blockchain Governance leaders Node40 Unveil Masternode Portfolio Insight Reports

Node40, a blockchain governance company providing investors with an easy-to-generate and passive revenue stream, today announced a highly requested feature for Masternode owners, Masternode Portfolio Insight. The feature is designed to showcase asset performance for every Node40 customer, all of whom are investors in the popular, stable cryptocurrency Dash, and is the first of its kind in the crypto community.

Node40’s Masternode Portfolio Insight illustrates with precision how each Node performs fully tracked against the United States dollar on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis with upcoming support for real-time custom ranges. Moreover, the online reporting tool will show Masternode owners exactly how their cryptocurrency gains stack up against other traditional forms of investment such as property, savings account gains, or stock market returns. As a result, the tool is an important step in the path to mainstream blockchain adoption. Node40’s new feature is accessible to customers via a recently rejuvenated and improved UI, showing users exactly how many network rewards have been received in a reporting period, how much value they’ve accrued in both Dash and USD, while tracking gains as well.

Co-founder and CEO of Node40 Perry Woodin explains, “Node40’s Masternode Portfolio Insight reports help users better visualize their investment performance in ways traditional investors are used to. Every transaction associated with a customer’s Masternode is calculated against the daily Dash USD average. This allows our customers to do an apples-to-apples comparison against other more traditional assets. We are firm believers in the importance of blockchain governance, allowing users to one-click vote on submitted network proposals, and we are known for being the only node hosting service that guarantees payment.”

The Masternode Portfolio Insight, which went live on October 9, was built by founders Perry Woodin and Sean Ryan for two reasons: first, the vast majority of masternode owners needed a layperson’s view of realized and unrealized value fluctuation pegged to fiat currency, and second, users needed a simple solution for end of fiscal year tax filing requirements.

Woodin added: “As a US Corporation, we are required to file taxes. Since most of our customers pay with digital currency, we needed a way to calculate the USD cost of all incoming transactions and then determine if there was a gain or loss when we converted to USD. We built a tool that calculated the USD value of every transaction along with gain/loss for outgoing transactions and provided the data to our accountants. If transactional data with calculated gains/losses and unrealized gains/losses for an entire portfolio was useful to us, then it would also be useful to our customers.”

Node40 is gaining significant momentum due to the rising value of the world’s 7th most valuable cryptocurrency, Dash, which has quintupled in value from this time last year.

Blockchain Governance Service Provider Node40 Launches From Beta After a Flying Start

Albany-based company now leading the way in hosting Dash masternodes

New York, NY – September 22, 2016 – Node40, a financial technology startup focused on governance, a rapidly growing and critical niche of blockchain technology, today announced its launch from beta. As a leading provider of “nodes,” Node40 has quickly built a significant customer base since its launch in early 2015. Growth has accelerated this year in line with the surging value of Dash, now the 7th most valuable cryptocurrency in the world by market cap. Albany-based Node40 uses an intricate network of computer hardware and software to help Dash investors turn their digital wealth into a passive revenue stream while enhancing the Dash network’s security.

Perry Woodin, Node40 Founder and CEO, explains, “With Node40, users with 1,000 Dash can hold their own private keys and easily set up a revenue-generating node in a matter of minutes. As long as a masternode is capitalized and connected to the network, every month the Dash network pays our customers directly. Our technology ensures guaranteed uptime for servers, critical to ensuring customers never miss a payment from the Dash network.”

Woodin continued, “After months of development, we’re proud to announce the deployment of a vastly improved user interface for Node40, one commensurate with our premier level of high touch service. Our customers want to power the Dash network and get rewarded without having to spend time, energy, and money overcoming technical hurdles. As a result, we have streamlined the process while also providing detailed information along the way. Node40’s new interface provides continuity with step-by-step instructions, and an improved experience for customers to manage and monitor the health and valuation of their investment.”

Node40’s new interface makes site navigation much easier, with much of the look and feel inspired by everyday online banking. Within a month, Node40 will introduce new features including Masternode Portfolio Insight. In this section, customers will be able to download monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc reports that show the performance of their Dash portfolio.

The monthly rewards for owning a Node40 masternode vary based on the number of masternodes held on the network, but currently, the rewards average 7.7 Dash/month, while the price of using the Node40 service is presently 2.74 Dash/month. In 2016, the majority of customers reported triple digit percentage gains; for investors starting one year ago, the minimum return has been 61%.

“Hosting a masternode is an incredibly simple and valuable way to break into the burgeoning virtual currency space. While some people can actually host a masternode on their own, they run the very real risk of missing a network reward unless their server stays online 24/7. At Node40, we provide peace of mind; in the very rare instance a node we host goes offline, we have state of the art monitoring equipment to be notified immediately and rectify the issue. In the extremely unlikely event a customer misses a Dash reward, Node40 guarantees the reimbursement of that amount.”

Node40 users also have the added advantage of being able to contribute to Dash’s governance system by one-click voting on submitted network proposals, as well as paying for their monthly service in Dash.
