Avantgarde retail FX brokerage FXPRIMUS has devised a new ‘Trading Trivia’ section which has taken the company’s focus on interactive methods of engagement further.
The FXPRIMUS Trading Trivia features the firm’s expert analyst Marshall Gittler, whose unique presentation and delivery is widely renowned among large institutions and retail traders alike.
The ideology behind Trading Trivia is that traders can ask Marshall Gittler a question, and he will answer the questions every Tuesday.
How it works:
Traders record questions in the form of a short, clear video on their cellphones, which must be no longer than 20 sceonds, and then submit the video to Marshall Gittler along with their name, email and postal adress, and if the video is chosen to appear in the Tuesday Tading Trivia broadcast presented by Marshall himself in which the question will be answered and the trader will win a promotional package from FXPRIMUS.
FXPRIMUS has become a very distinct advocate of interactive methods of engagement recently, a notable example being the company’s
Speaking to Helen Astaniou, PR and Marketing Communications Manager at FXPRIMUS here in Limassol, Cyprus, FinanceFeeds took a demonstrative tour of the new virtual reality headset.
Ms. Astaniou considers it a means of introducing virtual reality to a mass audience, in order to make a foray into this innovative wearable device culture that is sweeping the tech development sectors, putting it into the hands of retail traders who would be otherwise subjected to prohibitive costs.
“It is made of cardboard and arrives as a flat pack, and is easily mantlable, easy to construct, and works with 360 degree camera technology and a 3 dimensional view” said Ms. Astaniou.
What does it do?
“It allows you to be transported into a 360 degree environment anywhere, you could even be on the moon!” enthused Ms. Astaniou.
Rather than offering a trading environment from the virtual reality headset from the outset, FXPRIMUS is introducing its audience to the concept via a series of videos which are specific to retail traders wishing to gain a further understanding of products and services in the retail sector.

“It is a symbolic representation of our services” said Ms. Astaniou. “We are using it to augment one of our USPs which is technology. This virtual reality system facilitates learning, and you can learn about products and services through it.”
“If you want to learn about a specific point regarding FX trading, we have developed a video for it, which has different elements. This operates in the form of, for example, a virtual version of Marshall Gittler speaking and introducing, and then when he finishes speaking, a video follows that concentrates on a specific subject, then the client can go to our website to learn more” she said.
I am sure that people remember more of what they have seen via a 3 dimensional virtual reality system than if it had been viewed on a standard computer. In some respects it is how we all viewed Star Wars in the 1980s in that wherever I look there is something different, something moving” said Ms Astaniou.
From SMS, to photographs, to virtual reality
“10 Years ago we were communicating by script, using media such as text messages. After that came the photographic applications such as Instagram, and various social media channels, however virtual reality is s the next step and we are looking toward new media and futuristic technology.
There are market alerts in three dimensions. If you look behind you, could look at charts and information from the news, thats the way we are headed. Traders want more, exciting ways to trade” – Helen Astaniou, FXPRIMUS
In conclusion, Ms. Astaniou said “We have reached a plateau over the last few years with what are now widely accepted devices, however virtual reality is the way all big communications services are headed, so why not with trading too?”
“At last night’s Facebook seminar, it was stated that there are more SIM cards in the world than people. 7.8 billion SIM Cards and 7.1 billion people, pop your mobile into your headset and away you go!”
Here is an insight into how the forthcoming Tuesday Trading Trivia broadcasts will look:
