Senior promotions and new team members reflect growth at Gold-i

Maria Nikolova

Tom Higgins, CEO, Gold-i comments, “Our new management structure is a key milestone in the evolution of the business”.

Gold-i has expanded its team with a series of senior promotions and new appointments to reflect client demand and global growth opportunities for its multi-asset liquidity management and risk management products.

Chris James

Julian Elliott, former Operations Director at Gold-i has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for sales and marketing, account management and finance. Julian was one of Gold-i’s first employees, having joined the fast growth Fintech specialist as Operations Manager in October 2010.

Chris James, former Product Development Manager has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, responsible for software development, QA and client support. Chris joined Gold-i five years ago as a Quality Assurance Analyst.

Maria Lopez

In addition to Julian and Chris’ promotions, Gold-i has created its first in-house marketing role with the appointment of Maria Lopez, former Marketing Director at American Express.

Prior to joining Gold-i, Maria spent over a decade at American Express in a variety of marketing roles across different territories, with responsibility for brand strategy, marketing assets, digital communications and leveraging partnerships. As Marketing Director, she successfully increased demand of the Global AMEX B2B business across 19 markets and with over 60 bank partners. She led teams across Europe, Asia and America to drive revenue growth. Maria has an MBA from Manchester Business School, a Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma and a FinTech Future of Commerce accreditation from MIT.

As Marketing Manager, Maria will report directly to the CCO Julian Elliott.
