Last week in London, FinanceFeeds met with Gold-i CEO Tom Higgins, who explained in great detail the methodology which is now coming to fruition in the form of the potential to migrate global MetaTrader 4 users to MetaTrader 5.
Mr. Higgins explained that the reason that MetaTrader 5 has not been widely adopted in its current format is due to the inability to facilitate hedging, compared to MetaTrader 4’s hedging functionality which is instrumental to the retail trader’s experience.
“With MetaTrader 5 now able to provide hedging facilities, it now means that it is a very viable alternative to MetaTrader 4. It is a much better platform but until now, traders could never move to it because they require hedging” continued Mr. Higgins.
Concurrently, as Gold-i continues to innovate and develop the means by which retail infrastructure keeps pace with the ever-increasing demand from traders, the firm formed a partnership with Beeks Financial Cloud in order to go down the route of further development to provide choice to broker clients which require connectivity and server hosting solutions.
Today, FinanceFeeds spoke to Gordon McArthur, CEO of Beeks Financial Cloud, who explained “The Gold-i relationship is more focussed around the institutional hosting segment ie broker clients who are looking to host their core trading infrastructure in one of the low latency venues of LD4/NY4/TY3 with Disaster Recovery to either Chicago/Hong Kong or Frankfurt.”
“Gold-i’s business is not about hosting infrastructure or providing connectivity, they are a software provider and applications company which is why we are a nice fit to work together, our services compliment each other for institutions looking for a one stop shop for the MT4 installs and on going support and connectivity” Gordon McArthur, CEO, Beeks Financial Cloud
“Beeks Financial Cloud still has the BeeksFX brand which is the retail VPS division which the Gold-i clients can also use to provide a low latency VPS solution further extending the one stop shop function” he concluded.
With regard to this partnership which takes the retail trading experience much closer to that of the professional and institutional desks Mr. Higgins stated “Our clients come to us to help them with all aspects of running MetaTrader effectively and we are delighted to have formed a partnership with Beeks.”
“Beeks can meet all our client requirements in terms of flexibility, scalability and reliability. They offer a cost effective service which will enable our clients to benefit from low latency and enhanced execution” concluded Mr. Higgins.
