Saxo Bank to launch new trading platform SaxoTraderPRO in April

The new professional-grade trading platform is set to become available to end-clients of introducing brokers and to self-trading introducing brokers.

Saxo Bank

Multi-asset trading and investment services provider Saxo Bank is on its way to introduce its new professional-grade trading platform SaxoTraderPRO.

The bank says it will launch the new trading platform to direct clients in April. It will be available to end-clients of introducing brokers and to self-trading IBs. SaxoTraderPRO will eventually replace Saxo’s old downloadable platform, SaxoTrader. However, the bank will be implementing a soft migration, enabling clients to run both platforms until the end of 2018.

Introducing brokers will continue to use SaxoTrader to manage their clients. Later in 2018, functionality to navigate and trade on behalf of their clients will be added to SaxoTraderPRO. Once introduced, IBs will eventually be migrated to the new platform.

SaxoTraderPRO is built for speed and efficiency. It is fully customisable, and supports up to six screens on both Windows and Mac. The new platform offers high-performance tools and features for clients to analyse markets and manage and execute orders.

The list of features includes:

  • Redesigned trade ticket – trade faster, with fewer clicks;
  • Depth Trader – place and manage orders in real time, relative to the book;
  • Time and Sales – see real-time order executions from the exchanges;
  • Algorithmic orders – minimize the market impact of large orders;
  • Innovative risk-management tools – gain more control over your exposure.

The bank promises seamless SaxoTraderGO integration – all settings, watchlists, positions and orders will be automatically available on SaxoTraderPRO. To help IBs support new or migrated clients, Saxo will be running two webinars in March. Signing up for the webinar scheduled for March 13, 2018 is already possible. During these events the bank will cover the platform in depth and provide all relevant documentation.

Also, from early April, SaxoTraderPRO launch materials will be available through the institutional marketing portal.

Co-branded SaxoTraderPRO is also in store. Following the launch to direct clients, Saxo will be developing the functionality to enable co-branding. The bank will be in touch to develop individual launch plans and go-live dates.
