Schroders has announced the appointment of Nicole Kidd as Head of Private Debt for Australia.

Nicole Kidd, who has over 25 years of investment banking and asset management experience, will assume the newly-created role on September 1, 2020. She will be based in Schroders’ Sydney office.

Ms Kidd joins from RBC where she was most recently Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking Australia and Institutional Client Management Asia-Pacific. She will focus on building and developing Schroders’ Private Debt business.

Nicole Kidd will report into Georg and Simon Doyle, Schroders’ Head of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset for Australia.

This appointment further reinforces Schroders’ commitment to growing its Private Assets platform, which has recently been bolstered by the acquisition of a majority stake in Pamfleet, an Asian real estate investment manager.

Georg Wunderlin, Global Head of Private Assets, Schroders, commented:

“The arrival of Nicole next month marks another significant step in the ongoing growth of our specialist Private Assets business. Whether it be through selective acquisitions or hiring the best talent, Schroders is dedicated to securing high-quality additions to drive the growth of this business.

“Growing Schroders’ Private Assets business is a key strategy focus for the firm. We are offering our investors access to all asset classes across private markets to serve their specific investment needs. We are seeing vast opportunities in private debt specifically which makes this a high priority area for our expansion path.”
