Shift Forex Head of UK Paul Inkster leaves to become CEO of Walbrook Capital Markets (formerly FXCM Securities)

After ten months at New York-based boutique consultancy Shift Forex, where he headed the UK operations, Paul Inkster has left the firm to join Walbrook Capital Markets Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Inkster held a Directorship position at Shift Forex, and was based in London following the consultancy’s opening of a London office in May 2015.

Mr. Inkster’s leadership position at Walbrook Captial Markets represents a move back into the brokerage business, Walbrook Capital Markets being a London based FX and CFD company that was previously known as FXCM Securities.

Paul Inkster

Before joining Shift Forex in May last year, Mr. Inkster was a Sales & Marketing Consultant at Integrated Publishing Solutions for one year, preceded by 5 years as Director of Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.

Having founded his own consultancy in September 2013, Mr. Inkster left Barclays to concentrate on his new venture.

Dating back to October 2007, Mr. Inkster spent a year in FX & Futures Sales at MF Global, a position which was preceded by a role as Manager of the Global Markets Desk at Marex Financial Ltd in London, where he worked for 5 between April 2002 and July 2007.

With an institutional background, Mr. Inkster was a Private Banker at Credit Suisse for three years between 1994 and 1997, and had been VP of Lehman Brothers between April 1987 and September 1992.
