Sucden Financial has broadened its international focus as former Sanko Menkul Degerler FX dealer Ayhan Gurcoglu joins the company as Regional Manager for Turkey.

Turkey has become a region of great importance to the retail and institutional sector alike, as the country’s well regulated structure has encouraged a good number of retail brokerages to establish their operations, therefore Sucden Financial can leverage this with the appointment of Mr. Gurcoglu.

Ayhan joins Sucden

Mr. Gurcoglu spent the last four and a half years at Turkish company Sanko Menkul Degerler, where he began his tenure in January 2011 as a Dealer, before being promoted to Foreign Markets Assistant Manager in October last year.

Prior to that, Mr Gurcoglu was a Futures and Stock Dealer for high net worth clients at Tera Brokers, a post that he assumed after two years as a dealer at Raymond James Financial Inc in Istanbul, Turkey.

Within Sucden Financial’s e-FX department, Mr. Gurcoglu will report directly to the co-heads of the company’s e-FX team Wayne Roworth and Peter Brooks.

Mr. Gurcoglu today commented

“Sucden Financial has a global reputation for excellence and a prestigious client base in Turkey. I am looking forward to servicing our existing relationships in the region and sharing my knowledge about the local markets.”

Speaking with regard to his appointment, Mr. Gurcoglu told FinanceFeeds “I have been brought on at Sucden Financial to specifically support our eFX business in Turkey. Sucden Financial already provides FX, bullion and CFDs to some of the largest and most prestigious brokers in Turkey, so I am thrilled to be able to help support our business in the region going forward.”

“In Turkey, trust and reputation is everything and so when I decided I wanted to relocate to London I spent a long time trying to select the right broker to work for. I am very excited about the prospect of working with Sucden Financial because I felt it had a similar background to my previous employer, Sanko Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS” continued Mr. Gurcoglu.

“The Sanko group is one of the largest and oldest companies in Turkey and so I felt Sucden Financial’s 40 year plus history, excellent reputation and financial strength would be a good fit.”

On Mr. Gurcoglu’s appointment, Sucden Financial’s Head of e-FX Peter Brooks stated

“We are delighted to welcome Ayhan to our team. His experience and local knowledge will be invaluable, helping us to strengthen the support we offer to our Turkish clients. Ayhan has worked with many UK companies whilst based in Turkey and will be a real asset to the team.”
