Swissquote adds new Bitcoin section to mobile app for iOS devices
Shortly after Swissquote started offering virtual currency trading to its clients, the bank moves to enhance the virtual currency functionalities of its mobile application for iOS devices.
Swiss provider of online financial and trading services Swissquote Group Holding SA (SWX:SQN) is apparently keeping an eye on what traders want, as the bank has just released an updated version of its Mobile Banking and Trading application for iOS devices, and the new features target virtual currency fans.
The latest version of the solution (7.2) offers to those interested in crypto currencies to make use of a newly added Bitcoin section. This enhancement is introduced a couple of months after Swissquote became the first online bank in Europe to offer Bitcoin investing. Swissquote customers got the opportunity to exchange Euros or US dollars for Bitcoins on the Swissquote platform. Customers may speculate on Bitcoin or use it to diversify their portfolios.
The addition of a new Bitcoin section does not exhaust the list of enhancements to Swissquote’s mobile app. The Newsroom now features numerous reports, including Live Analysis, Morning News, Daily Technical Report, Daily Market Brief and Weekly Market Outlook. In a small tweak concerning recommendations and estimations, this information has been moved to the Trend Radar reports.
Swissquote has been updating its mobile solutions regularly. A set of improvements to the Mobile Banking and Trading app were released in June this year. The solution started offering new news alerts, covering Macro-Economics and Sectors. There was also an enhancement concerning education, as users of the app got direct access to webinars.
The previous update to the solution (version 7.1) included a raft of improvements, such as direct trading from Apple Watch. This change marked a significant improvement compared to what typical apps for Apple Watch allow traders to do – merely get notifications and check account status. That version of Swissquote’s mobile app also saw the addition of the Fast Trade function, which allows users of the mobile application to compute automatically their orders based on a template, where they can determine the percentage of the price based on the last price.
