Swiss ExportThe sable demand for Swiss products in the pharmaceutical industry and the chemical sector from Asian countries has led to surprisingly high growth in exports from Switzerland in June. The real exports of the country has increased by as much as 5.6% compared to May. In real terms, ie without taking into account the changes in the exchange rate, exports increased by 2.2% year on year to 16.866 billion CHF.

At the same time, real imports increased by 10.8% on a monthly basis after falling by 1.6% recorded in May. In real terms, imports increased by 7.8% year on year to 15,489 billion CHF. In June, exports from the country exceeded imports by 1.38 billion CHF in the expectation however, nearly twice as large trade surplus – 2.78 billion CHF.

The exchange rate between CHF and USD is 0,9010 USD/CHF, which is the lowest level of CHF last month.
