“Thomas’ experience speaks volumes, with a phenomenal track record as one of the best at what he does and we are excited to have him join us.”

United Fintech has appointed Thomas Petersen as Head of Data Partnerships, where he will be focused on driving growth across the EMEA region and consolidating the data capabilities of the firm’s portfolio companies, NetDania and TTMZero.

Based in Madrid, Thomas Petersen will work closely with United Fintech’s London-based sales team, reporting to Tom Robinson, Partner and Head of Sales.

Thomas Petersen joins United Fintech from Bloomberg

The new United Fintech executive joins the firm after 22 years at Bloomberg, where he held senior roles in data acquisitions across EMEA, most recently with a focus on OTC data acquisition.

At Bloomberg, he was also instrumental in launching the Dubai office, one of the first in the region to offer localized solutions, and ultimately created a service model for the Middle East.

United Fintech is strategically positioned to be part of the 16.5% CAGR growth estimate for the next five years in Europe within the Fintech-as-a-Service space. The addition of an accomplished professional such as Thomas Petersen to the team is set to fulfil the firm’s ambitions in Europe.

“Phenomenal track record as one of the best at what he does”

Christian Frahm, founder and CEO, United Fintech commented: “I am really happy to welcome Thomas to our existing team of stellar talent, to deepen our data expertise across our products as we continue our growth across global markets. Thomas’ experience speaks volumes, with a phenomenal track record as one of the best at what he does and we are excited to have him join us.”

Thomas Petersen, head of data partnerships, United Fintech added: “I’m delighted to be joining the United fintech team to help drive innovative and in-demand solutions to the financial services industry. The global data landscape has seen a notable shift in recent years, and companies are having to adapt and engage with data in new and innovative ways. I look forward to leveraging my expertise to provide our clients with the right insight to help navigate this rapidly changing landscape.”

United Fintech opened office in Singapore

The London-based startup has also expanded its operation into the Asia Pacific with the opening of a Singapore office. After a year of growth which saw United Fintech expand across Europe and the United States, the expansion into Asia accommodates current client requirements and underpins the company’s strategy to grow its infrastructure and the availability of its product suite.

Part of this expansion, United Fintech appointed Cameron Booth as head of APAC to drive the growth and strengthen its budding offering in the region. Reporting to Tom Robinson, partner and head of sales, he will work closely with United Fintech’s London-based sales team to help scale and distribute its range of products and services to clients.
