The multi-asset brokerage, which offers ETFs, CFDs, FX, options futures and bonds to its customers via a consolidated account, tradable on proprietary platforms has a dedicated Saxo Portfolio Manager (SPM) solution which is designed for use by asset managers, investment management companies, and family offices among other entities.

Saxo Bank is looking to recruit a commercially-orientated professional to head the Saxo Portfolio Manager product and take the overall strategic and functional ownership of the entire solution.

Responsibilities will include:

  • The strategic direction for the SPM solution.
  • Gather and prioritize input to ensure the roadmap matches market requirements.
  • Ensure we remain competitive by enhancing the solution to stay ahead of the market.
  • Work closely with your own dedicated IT development team to design, build and integrate the solution enhancements.
  • Manage product launches; providing key messages, competitive profiling, domain knowledge, functional training and product content to
  • Marketing and the Institutional Sales teams.
  • Active participation in the sales process by demonstrating product features, presenting the product roadmap to potential clients and conduct
  • product training.
  • Manage a small team of Product Supporters

Candidates wishing to apply for the position must have the following credentials:

  • A university degree within the area of Finance, Economics or IT.
  • Aminimum of 7 years working experience in the Investment Management industry.
  • Experience as a Portfolio Manager or Business Analyst from an Investment Management firm or a Product Manager of Portfolio Manager
  • Software Solutions would be an advantage.
  • Experience in business processes in Investment Management Firms.
  • Full familiarity with back office (reporting, account statements, P/L, EOD data etc.).
  • Comprehensive understanding of trading and Investments (order types, re-balancing of portfolios, block orders, algos).
  • Must be commercially-oriented and can be the voice of the customer.
  • Experience in formulating requirements to IT.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are considered a plus.
  • Confident in presenting to larger audiences.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues from all levels.

Saxo Bank has concentrated a great deal of effort and resources toward refining and redeveloping its product range recently, a notable example being the SaxoTraderGo device neutral platform with an open API which allows banks, white label partners and traders to develop their own trading applications and technological interfaces and integrate them so that they can leverage Saxo Bank’s trading environment via their own tools, thus a senior position in the company would no doubt stimulate the mind of the technologically avantgarde.
