“It’s always a milestone as a startup founder when you’re able to hire a former co-worker. I’m excited for the talent and expertise Peter brings to the firm.”

Zingeroo, and subsidiary broker-dealer Z-Squared Securities LLC, have appointed Peter Dolezal, J.D. to the position of General Counsel of the firm providing an all-in-one trading app for investors wanting access to stock, options, and crypto trading in the United States.

Peter Dolezal brings nearly three decades of fintech industry experience to the Zingeroo competitive trading platform that takes a social approach to online investing.

He joins Zingeroo after spending over four years serving as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of ShareNett Holdings, LLC, a members-only investment platform for high-net-worth individuals and investment professionals. He previously served as Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of ShareNett Securities LLC, a broker dealer wholly owned by ShareNett Holdings, LLC, as well as President of ShareNett Investment Advisors, LLC, an exempt reporting investment adviser also wholly owned by ShareNett Holdings, LLC.

“Reinventing the trading experience within the confines of the current regulatory landscape”

Zoë Barry, Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Zingeroo, said: “It’s always a milestone as a startup founder when you’re able to hire a former co-worker. I’m excited for the talent and expertise Peter brings to the firm.”

Zingeroo’s founder previously collaborated with Peter Dolezal at a prior broker-dealer. She added that she has no doubt that Mr. Dolezal will be instrumental in achieving Zingeroo’s full potential during its next phase of growth.

Peter Dolezal, General Counsel at Zingeroo, said: “I am excited to bring my 25 years of legal and regulatory experience to the company. Zingeroo has done an excellent job of prioritizing compliance and I’m excited to help Zingeroo further innovate its unique fintech platform. It’s an exciting challenge and opportunity to be part of a team reinventing the trading experience within the confines of the current regulatory landscape.”

Zingeroo’s Zoë Barry was first woman to launch US brokerage in the last decade

Launched in Q3 2021, Zingeroo is a commission-free trading app with a gamified approach by including educational competitions between friends.

Last year, Zingeroo’s Founder and CEO Zoë Barry was recognized by Goldman Sachs as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022 at its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California.

According to Goldman Sachs, she’s the first woman to launch a brokerage or retail trading platform in the United States in the last decade. Zingeroo makes investing competitive, social, and educational and has raised $8.5M to date.

“Zingeroo’s motto is never boring. Our goal is to make investing exciting and educational — we are bringing scores of young people into the market for the first time who would otherwise be on the sidelines. By design, our interface encourages risk-management, education, and smart investing. While we got our start with stocks and options, we’re more excited than ever to be expanding into crypto in the coming months”, she said at the award ceremony.
