“We are creating an entirely new ecosystem for institutions to really seize the advantages digital assets offer, and I look forward to working with Julian and the team to not just bring our products to institutions across the world, but to build the infrastructure of the future.”

Zodia Custody, a renowned digital asset custodian with a strong focus on serving institutional clients, has made a significant addition to its leadership team with the appointment of James Harris as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Harris brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Commercial Director at CCData, a prominent digital asset data company.

This strategic move by Zodia Custody aligns with the company’s ambitious plans for global expansion, particularly highlighted by its recent venture into the Singapore market.

As CCO, James Harris will assume responsibility for identifying and capitalizing on commercial opportunities across Zodia Custody’s global operations. His office will be based at the firm’s London headquarters, and he will report directly to the CEO of Zodia Custody, Julian Sawyer.

James Harris joins Zodia after CCData, MetaVault, Diginex, Altairian, and StanChart

James Harris’s appointment underscores Zodia Custody’s dedication to reshaping the financial landscape by providing institutional clients with robust digital asset custody solutions. The company’s mission is to establish a pioneering ecosystem that empowers institutions to fully leverage the benefits offered by digital assets.

James Harris brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Head of Sales at MetaVault and as the Head of Custody at Diginex. He also co-founded Altairian and has a Directorship background at Standard Chartered. His extensive industry knowledge positions him perfectly to drive Zodia Custody’s commercial initiatives.

James Harris’s appointment as Chief Commercial Officer reinforces Zodia Custody’s commitment to delivering innovative digital asset custody solutions while facilitating continued global growth in the ever-evolving digital asset landscape.

Building a financial system from the ground up

James Harris, newly appointed CCO of Zodia Custody, said: “The digital asset world is the most innovative and exciting space in financial services. It’s not often that we get to build a financial system from the ground up—yet our work with institutions is doing exactly that. We are creating an entirely new ecosystem for institutions to really seize the advantages digital assets offer, and I look forward to working with Julian and the team to not just bring our products to institutions across the world, but to build the infrastructure of the future.”

Julian Sawyer, CEO of Zodia Custody, commented: “James is exactly the right fit for our business. He doesn’t just know our world in detail, he firmly believes in our mission and vision. James also embarks on this journey at an incredibly interesting time, as we leverage the work and partnerships we have achieved this year to develop our solutions across the world.”
