BestEx Research taps Andrew Westhead to lead research on algo execution

BestEx Research Group has appointed Andrew Westhead as Managing Director of Research as the firm looks to further develop its high-performance algorithmic execution and measurement solutions for equities, futures, and foreign exchange trading.

Andrew Westhead has more than 15 years of experience in the research, development, and deployment of execution algorithms with a particular focus in equities, futures, and FX.

He joins BestEx Research from Graham Capital Management, where he was the Director of Smart Execution at the “systematically focused hedge fund”.

Prior to Graham, Mr. Westhead spent more than 10 years in the Quantitative Strategies Group at Bank of America, leading the research and development of its futures execution algorithms and leading numerous projects to enhance its global equities algorithms, both for external clients and internal trading desks.

Focus on high-performance multi-asset execution algos
