KX unveils Early Access Program for KDB.AI, its multi-model vector database
“KDB.AI will enhance our ability to provide clients with industry-leading, intelligent execution analytics while ensuring our clients continue to receive the very best in research-driven trading solutions”, said Quantitative Brokers CPO Asset Tarabayev.

KX has unveiled the Early Access Program for KDB.AI, the firm’s multi-model vector database, in order to grant privileged access to its technology and support, offering the opportunity to be part of the evolution of transformative generative AI applications and use cases.
Open to new and existing customers and global system integration partners, the early access program is the latest move by the global pioneer in vector native real time and high-volume time series data analytics.
KDB.AI affects the financial services industry by enabling real-time processing of vast time-series and alternate datasets, providing actionable insights for advanced market analytics and sentiment analysis.
“Transforming big data problems into smart data solutions”
Jonny Press, Chief Technology Officer, Data Intellect: “Our core strengths lie in transforming big data problems into smart data solutions. The integration of KDB.AI’s advanced generative AI capabilities into our consulting framework further enhances our approach to complex data challenges. With KDB.AI we’re exploring the untapped potential of generative AI to unearth unique use cases that deliver transformative results.”
Ashok Reddy, CEO, KX: “This is a significant stride in KX’s history, offering a unique opportunity for our customers and partners to join us on a path where we redefine the future of AI. This launch is more than a product roll-out; it’s a shared exploration into new frontiers of technological innovation.”
Generative AI is expected to add up to $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy, which will lead to increased demand for resilient vector databases to support high-performance generative AI and semantic search applications.
According to KX, current vector databases and AI applications, however, exhibit severe limitations – lack of statefulness, insufficient processing of high-volume numerical calculations, an inability to adapt in real time, and problems replicating sophisticated risk models. These issues are said to obstruct AI’s potential for temporal reasoning and inference, limiting its effectiveness.
Intelligent execution analytics and research-driven trading solutions
KX says KDB.AI provides the best price to performance and efficiency and overcomes traditional vector database challenges, including statelessness, lack of contextual understanding, ultra-high-dimensionality problems, an absence of causal reasoning, and hurdles around explainability, fairness, and sustainability.
Additionally, KDB.AI fills a significant gap in the real-time processing and streaming of vectors by enabling sliding window search for time-series-based vector search. Its stateful approach caters to various applications, providing native support for large language models (LLMs) and machine learning workflows, KX explained.
Offering universal compatibility with any infrastructure setup, software products and leading language models, KDB.AI is available for deployment on all hyperscaler cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, GCP, and also for on-premise use.
Asset Tarabayev, Chief Product Officer, Quantitative Brokers: “KX’s market leading technology gives us the ability to unlock differentiated outcomes for our customers, reinforcing our commitment to always push the boundaries of technology with a focused vision. KDB.AI will enhance our ability to provide clients with industry-leading, intelligent execution analytics while ensuring our clients continue to receive the very best in research-driven trading solutions.”
