OANDA launches profit-sharing program for traders, OANDA Labs Trader

“You raise your game, we’ll raise the capital” serves as the motto.

OANDA Global Corporation has announced the launch of OANDA Labs Trader, a trading program focused on profit-sharing, designed to enhance traders’ skills and profits.

OANDA Labs Trader targets talented private investors and self-directed traders, making them signal providers to OANDA’s proprietary trading business.

Participants must pass a trading challenge in demo environment

Accessible to residents in countries served by OANDA’s Global Markets division, regulated by the Financial Services Commission of the British Virgin Islands, OANDA Labs Trader requires participants to pass an assessment through a trading challenge in a demo environment, using virtual funds to test strategies and skills.

Once traders pass the assessment, they can access an OANDA Labs Trader account to share in the profits they generate. While using virtual capital, traders’ successful signals are integrated into OANDA’s proprietary trading models.

Kurt vom Scheidt, Chief Operating Officer at OANDA, highlighted the program’s focus on enabling smarter trading.”Through this program, the most capable traders are empowered with streamlined access to global financial markets across a range of asset classes. In addition to the share they can earn on their profitable trading of virtual funds, traders will receive the necessary tools, such as educational materials and exclusive data-driven features and widgets, to set them up for successful trading. We look forward to growing our proprietary trading activity by incorporating valuable signals from Labs Traders as inputs into our trading models.”

Founded in 1996, OANDA is a leading online trading group, offering multi-asset trading and currency data analytics globally. With a history of pioneering in web-based currency trading, OANDA offers regulated trading services in major financial markets worldwide, enabling retail clients to trade in various asset classes.

OANDA’s European traders given access to TradingView

Earlier this month, OANDA’s EU-based operation announced the extension of an existing partnership with TradingView, the world’s largest charting platform and trading social network, to enable mutual clients in the EU to trade with OANDA directly from TradingView charts.

The app integration allows over 1,500 instruments to be directly accessible to TradingView’s 50 million user base, empowering traders to spot, evaluate, and trade opportunities straight through to their OANDA account without leaving the TradingView platform.

Benefits include access to 17 ‘supercharts’ with over 110 smart drawing tools and over 400 pre-built popular indicators, the ability to conveniently monitor and modify trades on the go, and the ability to create personalized watchlists and access instant market alerts.

OANDA users can now choose to trade on global financial markets using TradingView, in addition to the proprietary OANDA TMS app as well as MT5.

John Oliver rips into MetaTrader over role in ‘Pig Butchering’ scams

“If your friend told you to download an app, and you saw it in the app store with good reviews, you might assume everything on it was legitimate. In before, you saw MetaTrader’s logo which looks like three men in suits jerking each other off under a table – an appropriate metaphor for cryptocurrency if I have ever seen one,” Oliver quipped.
