Switzerland CPI 2014The consumer prices in Switzerland remained unchanged in March 2014, beating the forecasts for a decline of 0.1%. According to official data, the Switzeland CPI in March 2014 was 0.0% compared to March 2013, while in February the decreased was with 0.1%.

Meanwhile, the monthly inflation in Switzerland reached 0.4% compared to 0.1% in the previous period. This is the fastest rate of increase since March 2012.

The Swiss central bank predicted during the last month that in 2014 the consumer prices will remain unchanged and will increase with about 0.4% during the next year. From the bank stressed that the reduced inflation globally, as well as the strong CHF, are the reasons for the delay in the rise in consumer prices in the country.
