Retail FX & CFD brokerage Admiral Markets has today announced that it is adding a new service to its MetaTrader 4 trading platform, in the form of the Day Session Indicator.
This particular integration will be available on the company’s MetaTrader 4 Supreme Edition, and allows traders to perform specific custom adaptations to the user interface of the trading platform, including the ability to hide candles generated during night trading times, so they work with the trader’s old MT4 Supreme settings and indicators as usual, as well as the ability for traders to create their own time windows for sessions (for example, DAX30 Xetra from 9:00am to 5:30pm CET), and to change the timeline or period of their active charts at any time and see the changes automatically synced with their offline charts.
Speaking to FinanceFeeds today, Jens Chrzanowski, a UK Client Support Officer at Admiral Markets took some time to answer a few questions with regard to the new addition.
What does Admiral Markets wish to achieve by adding this day session indicator?
We want to give to our customers what they request.
We speak to our clients daily and many have asked for a charting view that only shows their preferred market’s trading hours.
For DAX30 it could be Eurex, from 08 to 22:00 CET. Or it could be Xetra trading hours only, from 09:00 to 17:30 CET. For these customers’ chart analysis, it makes sense to see only these hours.
In contrast, for DAX30 CFD there are not the same opening gaps because Admiral Markets provides 24/5 trading hours – delivering indicative quotations and order options at night.
Which firm is providing it?
Admiral Markets works closely with our MT4 Supreme analytical solutions provider. We develop new features like this latest one, together. Another example is the Multiple Stop features we designed, that allow time stops and partial closing stops to be actively managed in the MT4 chart.
As a result of the implementation of the new Day Session Indicator, when a Forex trader changes the timeline or period of their online chart, the offline chart will update automatically.
Default settings for the new Day Session Indicator show the regular DAX30 session from 8:00am to 10:00pm CET.
