BNP Paribas announces record-keeping with blockchain

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has integrated its specialized alternative multi-management platform including private asset fund solutions, as well as funds of hedge funds and UCITS-compliant hedge funds.

The trading platform is named BNP Paribas Capital Partners (BNPP CP) and its integration of further strengthens BNPP AM’s Private Debt & Real Assets investment division (‘PDRA’), bringing its assets under management to more than EUR 20 billion.

This is part of BNPP AM’s strategy of accelerating the development of its private asset investment strategies that included the acquisition of Dutch mortgage specialist Dynamic Credit Group in September 2021.

Supporting and developing its absolute return fund of funds business

The asset management division of BNP Paribas will be able to expand its scope to new market segments within private debt, leveraging BNPP CP’s work in specialized debt and impact private equity fund solutions.

The fund of hedge funds unit will join the Multi Asset, Quantitative & Solutions (‘MAQS’) business led by Denis Panel and extend its coverage to include liquid alternative funds.

Maya Bhandari leads multi asset unit

In November, Maya Bhandari became Global Head of Multi-Asset at BNP Paribas Asset Management, reporting to Denis Panel, CIO of Multi-Asset, Quantitative & Solutions.

She is responsible for further developing BNPP AM’s multi-asset business, with a particular focus on strengthening the investment process, and delivering consistent and strong returns for clients.

Maya Bhandari is a thought leader who provides fundamental research and will continue to do so under the new role, as well as the continued integration of ESG within our multi-asset offering.

She joined BNP Paribas Asset Management from Columbia Threadneedle Investments (‘CTI’) where she was Executive Director of the Multi-Asset Portfolio business, managing and co-managing a global range of diversified growth, multi-asset income and institutional mandates.

She is a frequent commentator in financial press and TV, including Bloomberg, CNBC, the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and local European press.
