Broadridge has announced the appointment of Paul Simpson as Vice Chairman of the firm’s Global Technology and Operations (GTO) business.

In this newly created role, Simpson will collaborate closely with Broadridge’s GTO division to enhance client-centric strategies and expedite the rollout of targeted product lines.

With a background steeped in financial services, Simpson brings a wealth of knowledge to support Broadridge’s ongoing transformation in the financial markets.

Paul Simpson will serve as an advisor to GTO division

As Broadridge continues to advance its trading innovations and capabilities in the Capital Markets sector, while simultaneously providing innovative component solutions to wealth management clients in North America, Simpson’s role will be pivotal. He will serve as an advisor, reporting directly to Broadridge President Chris Perry and GTO President Tom Carey.

Leadership roles in Global Treasury, Prime Brokerage and Futures, and Global Transaction

Before joining the Broadridge team, Paul Simpson amassed an impressive 33-year career in the financial services industry. His most recent position was as the Global Banking & Markets Operations and Regions Executive for Bank of America.

In this capacity, Simpson oversaw global operations encompassing institutional and commercial, corporate, investment banking, and government clients. He also managed technology and operations for the bank’s international business, further underscoring his deep knowledge of the financial services industry’s technological and operational requirements.

Simpson’s career at Bank of America included leadership roles across various domains, including Global Treasury Services, Prime Brokerage and Futures business, and Global Transaction Services. His extensive experience makes him well-equipped to navigate the complex technological landscape of the financial sector.

Simpson’s contributions extend beyond his professional roles. He served as a board member of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation for five years and currently sits on Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business Advisory Council.

Additionally, he has held leadership positions in various industry organizations, including the Private Export Finance Corporation (PEFCO), Foreign Policy Associates (FPA), Managed Funds Association (MFA), Bankers Association of Foreign Trade (BAFT), and SWIFT.
