CMC Invest’s ambassador Shanti Pereira promotes early investing among women

“Much like preparing for a race, investing requires dedication, patience, and a long-term perspective. Just as consistent training leads to improved performance on the track, consistent investing can lead to financial growth and security over time.”

CMC Invest has announced its collaboration with Shanti Pereira, a distinguished Team Singapore track and field sprinter and recent double Gold medalist at the 2022 Asian Games.

The partnership is aimed at enhancing financial literacy and promote early investing among young Singaporean women, the subsidiary of CMC Markets stated.

Shanti Pereira is a renowned athlete, celebrated for her outstanding achievements in the 100m and 200m races, and can easily make the analogy between the discipline required for competitive sports and successful investing, emphasizing the importance of dedication, patience, and a long-term perspective in both arenas.

Serving as CMC Invest’s brand ambassador, Shanti Pereira will lead initiatives aimed at educating young women about the critical role of financial literacy and the benefits of early investment.

CMC Invest launched in APAC in 2023

CMC Invest, a subsidiary of the CMC Markets Group listed on the London Stock Exchange, operates in 12 countries and was launched in Singapore last year. The Singapore-based iteration of the brokerage brand offers a diverse product catalog that covers stocks, ETFs, options, and futures. The company offers a transparent platform that does not impose hidden costs such as inactivity and settlement fees.

CMC Invest provides clients with zero commission and real-time pricing across a comprehensive range of listed products along with research tools that include TradingView, ESG rankings, Opto content, and Thematic Investing.

The company’s commitment to promoting financial literacy, especially among underrepresented groups like women, is evident in its strategic partnership with influential figures like Shanti Pereira.

“Shanti Pereira embodies the qualities that we value at CMC Invest”

Shanti Pereira commented on the announcement: “Much like preparing for a race, investing requires dedication, patience, and a long-term perspective. Just as consistent training leads to improved performance on the track, consistent investing can lead to financial growth and security over time. I am honored to partner with CMC Invest to empower women to take control of their financial well-being.”

Christopher Forbes, Head of CMC Invest Singapore, said: “Shanti Pereira embodies the qualities of resilience, determination, and excellence that we value at CMC Invest. We are thrilled to welcome her as both a client and brand ambassador, and we are confident that her passion for empowering women will resonate with young women in Singapore.”

FIA urges CFTC to regulate use cases rather than AI itself

“We urge the CFTC to refrain from crafting new regulations that generally regulate AI because this approach presents certain well-known pitfalls. By approaching the issue from the perspective of AI as a technology, rather than the use case for the technology, corresponding regulations would likely necessitate a definition of AI. We anticipate that any attempt to properly define AI would be very challenging and require considerable resources.”
