easyMarkets launches Cash Indices: Tighter spreads than index futures, no expiry date

Rick Steves

“These new cash indices are ideal for traders with either a short or long-term outlook as they have tighter spreads than index futures and the trades are not subject to any expiry date.”

CySEC-regulated retail FX and CFD broker easyMarkets has launched cash indices in addition to their existing instruments, providing clients with a greater range of trading options.

easyMarkets said it is dedicated to providing clients with the ability to select a personalized trading approach that works for them, as well as the autonomy to balance investment, exposure, and risk without excessive cost.

The launch of Cash Indices goes in line with that commitment to users, as traders can gain a new level of exposure without having to undertake the time investment and cost of purchasing a range of individual shares that go up to make an index.

The new offering also expands the range of options, enabling users the pursuit of trading opportunities that align with their individual investment positions.

Cash indices for broader exposure, less volatility, tighter spreads, no expiry date

easyMarkets has created a brand-new cash indices portfolio to provide clients with a new investment angle with three major advantages over trading individual securities and commodities:

  • Cash indices expose traders to all sectors of the economy, sparing investors from having to research new companies.
  • Price movements can generally be expected to be less volatile as no individual stock affects the trading movement of an index as a whole.
  • Traders can purchase the current value of underlying indices with tighter spreads and with no expiry date.

With this latest addition, easyMarkets now offers access to some of the most in-demand cash indices in the world such as the Nasdaq 100 Cash Index (NQC), the SP 500 Cash Index (SPC), the Dow Jones Cash Index (DJC), the German Cash Index (DEC), the UK 100 Cash Index (UKC), the Euro 50 Cash Index (EUC), the Italy 40 Cash Index (MIB), the Australia 200 Cash Index (AUC), and many more.

Thomas Tsaloupis, Head of Risk Management at easyMarkets said: “We’re delighted to now offer our clients an even wider selection of indices to trade from. These new cash indices are ideal for traders with either a short or long-term outlook as they have tighter spreads than index futures and the trades are not subject to any expiry date. Our goal at easyMarkets is to continually innovate and provide our customers with the best services, products and platforms, and the introduction of cash indices is a further example of this.”

easyMarkets hired Garen Meserlian as Chief Marketing Officer

Earlier this year, easyMarkets appointed Garen Meserlian as Chief Marketing Officer amid the departure of Ohad Golan, who announced he was on his way out on LinkedIn.

Garen Meserlian joined easyMarkets after nearly eight years at Action Global Communications, with his latest role being Sr Marketing Director & Head of Digital Integration.

Founded in 2003 and presently operating in 160 countries, easyMarkets is a multi-asset financial trading brand that grants its customers many tools not available in most providers. One such tool is the feature of undoing a losing trade within hours and freezing the market price for a few seconds to make better trading decisions.

The broker was one of the first to introduce innovative features like guaranteed stop-loss, negative balance protection, and Freeze Rate to offer effective risk management opportunities.

In 2019, the company exited the Polish ‎market and withdrew registration of its ‎Polish branch Easy Forex Trading Sp. Zoo., located at Warsaw Financial Center.‎

Last year, easyMarkets joined a growing group of brokers in switching over to MetaTrader 5 (MT5), becoming the latest retail platform to incorporate the platform into its live trading infrastructure. With its latest MT5 trading platform launch, the CySEC and ASIC regulated broker, which rebranded in January 2016 from EasyForex, strives to further uplift its product portfolio and offer better financial trading chances.
