Eventus hires ex-TT Robbie McDonnell as Sales Director, AU/NZ

Eventus’ flagship product for multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk is the Validus platform as it operates across equities, options, futures, foreign exchange (FX), fixed income, and digital asset markets.

Eventus has appointed Robbie McDonnell as Sales Director, Australia & New Zealand, reporting to Scott Leader, Managing Director, APAC.

Based in Sydney, Robbie McDonnell is an industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in financial markets technology, serving in a variety of senior roles, including in global sales and regional expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The new sales director held numerous leadership roles over the course of 20 years at Trading Technologies, including from 2016 to 2018 as EVP/Managing Director of Sales for APAC, operating out of Sydney. He was also EVP/ Global Head of Sales in Chicago, led operations in Europe and the Middle East from London, and drove expansion across APAC.

Robbie McDonnell joins Eventus after running a consultancy business specializing in risk management and anti-money laundering (AML) systems. He also was CEO of Confideregroup, a leading business mentoring and executive coaching business in Sydney.

The provider of multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk solutions will now make use of his extensive network and know how to spread its business across Australia and New Zealand.

Eventus is a US-based market surveillance specialist that has been rapidly growing its presence and client base in the APAC region, with experienced staff members now on the ground in Hong Kong, Singapore and the Republic of Korea, in addition to Australia.

It was in May of last year that Eventus first got a taste of Australia by signing Morrison Securities to its roster of clients.

Eventus growing by leaps and bounds
