Eventus hires Scott Leader to lead RegTech’s Asia Pacific operation
Scott Leader has nearly three decades of financial services, sales, and management experience in top names such as ASX, NYSE Euronext, Bloomberg LP, SunGard (now FIS), Misys, and Pegasystems.
Eventus has appointed Scott B. Leader as Managing Director, APAC, where he will be heading the company’s sales efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
The US-based provider of multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk solutions has been steadily growing its presence in APAC, with staff now on the ground in Hong Kong, Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Australia, along with an expanding client base throughout the region.
With nearly three decades of financial services, sales, and management experience throughout APAC and Europe, Scott Leader will be based in Sydney and report to Eventus Global Head of Sales Scott Schroeder.
APAC has different approaches to financial market regulation

Scott Leader joined Eventus from Workday, Inc., a provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, where he was Executive Director, Large Enterprise, since 2020.
Prior to that, he was Regional Vice President of Box, Inc., a cloud content management and sharing platform. There, he founded and ran the Sydney office that ultimately served the firm’s Southeast Asian region in sales, consulting, customer success, marketing, and business development.
Other roles senior-level roles include top names such as the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), NYSE Euronext, Bloomberg LP, SunGard Financial Systems (now FIS), Misys, and Pegasystems.
