FCA confirms Consumer Wealth Ltd’s placement into liquidation

James Miller and Gareth Harris of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP have been appointed as liquidators.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has earlier today posted an update to clients of Consumer Wealth Ltd, confirming that the company has gone into Members’ Voluntary Liquidation.

Any client who is considering submitting a claim, or has any concerns with the service or advice they received from Consumer Wealth Ltd, should contact the liquidators directly, the FCA says.

Clients who have already complained to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) are advised to speak to their case handler to discuss next steps.

As per the latest filings with the UK Companies House, at a general meeting of the company, a number of resolutions were passed, including that the company be wound up voluntarily and that Joint Liquidators be appointed for the purposes of such winding up.

The Articles of Association of the company will be amended to permit the distribution of the whole or any part of its assets. The Joint Liquidators will be authorized to distribute among the members the assets.

Effective January 17, 2019, th registered office address of Consumer Wealth Ltd is changed from 41 Park Terrace Dunston Gateshead Tyne and Wear NE11 9PA to Rsm Restructuring Llp Central Square 5th Floor 29 Wellington Street Leeds LS1 4DL.
