LMAX appoints Olivia Mottershead as International Relationships Manager

The global financial technology company, which operates multiple institutional execution venues for electronic foreign exchange and cryptocurrency trading, has appointed Olivia Mottershead as International Relationships Manager.

A strong communicator experienced in Sales and customer service, Ms. Mottershead commented the appointment on LinkedIn: “I am very happy to announce I have now joined LMAX as their new International Relationship Manager!”

Throughout the pandemic until March 2021, Ms. Mottershead worked as Director of Operations at Betta Prime LTD, where she was responsible for setting up a Non-Regulated Agency Business (FX Spot only).

Tasks included securing PB relationship, looking after Partners/Relationships/Counterparties, preparing for FCA License (730K License), creating the website for the business, as well as being in charge of Operations/Technology/Financials.

Prior to that, she was Senior Business Developer at PrimeXM, where she would actively sell the firm’s products and focus on achieving targets.

This included attracting new clients globally and maintain consistent sales performance, customer service, managing relationships with vendors, and identifying opportunities for partnerships, as well as representing the company at important functions, industry events,

At PrimeXM, she was also responsible for designing and implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures, and providing technical demonstrations of PrimeXM products.

The new role as International Relations Manager at LMAX Group will be based in London.

The Group’s portfolio includes LMAX Exchange, which operates global institutional FX exchanges and a FCA-regulated multilateral trading facility. Its central limit order book (CLOB) execution model offers liquidity from top tier banks and non-bank institutions, no ‘last look’ rejections and full control over trading strategy and costs.

Besides the exchange business, LMAX also boasts its own regulated broker for FX, metals and commodities, named LMAX Global, and a regulated institutional spot crypto currency exchange, LMAX Digital.

The latter was developed in-house and addresses institutional demand for digital assets. The company was granted with a license from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) as a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT[7]) provider for execution and custody services in April 2019.
