The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has made a significant announcement today, revealing the appointment of Charlie Walker as the Deputy CEO of the London Stock Exchange plc. Charlie Walker’s appointment to this prestigious role also includes him joining the LSE plc Board, subject to regulatory approval. He will report directly to Julia Hoggett, the CEO of LSE plc, and will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the exchange. Additionally, Charlie Walker will continue to have responsibilities related to the Group’s primary markets business.

He is a capital markets specialist with a notable background, having previously worked within J.P. Morgan Cazenove’s Equity Capital Markets team. In this role, he was responsible for originating and executing equity transactions that raised over £45 billion of equity capital across five continents on behalf of clients. This track record speaks to his ability to navigate the complexities of the financial world and contribute to the continued success of the London Stock Exchange.
