Nas Academy and Invisible College introduce innovative model for Web3 education

Singapore-based online learning platform, Nas Academy is joining forces with Invisible College to teach people everything they need to know about the Web3.

The collaboration will leverage NFT collections to unlock the world’s first bundle of courses. In the first stage, courses worth than $2,000 will be made available, covering topics like NFT investing, community building, video editing, and crypto fundamentals.

The alliance also aims to build out a platform for crypto content creators to monetize their knowledge, giving them the tools to create their own classes and academies that fans can attend online.

Nas Academy and Invisible College say that Web3 offers an opportunity for a radical new education paradigm. The term, which is synonymous with the metaverse, covers a wide spectrum of online applications that don’t rely on a central authority to maintain them.

The most intriguing part of this partnership is its use of NFTs as a form of tuition credit. Specifically, Invisible College members who hold a Decentralien NFT will be able to unlock more than 18 web3 and creator courses on Nas Academy for free.

In practice, this means students will need to purchase one of the college’s NFTs in order to access a growing library that features courses from some of the world’s top creators and investors including Zeneca, Nuseir Yassin, and Ben Yu.

A major advantage of this learning model is that students will be able to sell the Decentraliens – a collection of otherworldly characters represented as NFTs on the Solana network – when they are done with the courses. This makes the tuition they pay as an admission pass to Nas Academy’s bundle of courses an investment they can recoup.

Invisible College will also be working with Nas Academy to onboard leading web3 instructors to teach courses on the platform. This effort aim to procure a sufficient volume of high-quality lessons to ensure the NFTs become a valued commodity.

Commenting on the news, Nas Academy CEO Nuseir Yassin said: “Web3 is more than just a compelling topic for courses. We believe NFTs can reinvent the way students consume online education and allow people to own a piece of the internet. That’s why we wanted to partner with a visionary community in the form of Invisible College. We are excited to build together to help educate and bring the next wave of users into web3.”

“Lately, there’s been lots of debate about web3 use cases. The way we see it, combining a catalog of high-quality courses with an NFT collection is a fundamentally new way to empower students to own their education. And there’s no way we could have pulled it off without web3 technology,” added Invisible College Co-Founder Nick deWilde.
