“Matthew brings strong institutional markets expertise to StoneX with a record of delivering growth and value for clients. This is another step towards StoneX becoming a leading solutions provider in digital assets and complements the growth of numerous established StoneX businesses.”

StoneX Digital, the digital asset division of StoneX Group, has appointed hired Matthew Ardizzone as Managing Director, Digital Assets, based in New York and reporting to Brian Mulcahy, Chief Operating Officer, StoneX Digital.

The crypto-focused subsidiary was launched in June of 2022 to extend the strengths and breadth of the StoneX offering to the digital asset markets, namely by delivering flexible trading tools and market access to institutional clients to trade and custody cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.

StoneX Digital’s path for expansion is expected to include a scope of products and services for multi-asset coverage, staking, margin, and cross-asset lending.

This new product offering further enhances StoneX’s ability to connect clients to the global financial markets and offer a broad array of financial products and institutional-grade platforms.

Ardizzone built global sales and trading franchises at several Wall St firms

Matthew Ardizzone joins StoneX Digital after more than 20 years of senior management experience in global markets sales and trading, and FinTech solutions.

He was most recently Chief Commercial Officer at Atomyze LLC. Prior to that, he founded Marlu Capital Partners LLC, an advisory and consulting firm specializing in digital assets and blockchain technology for the capital markets sector.

His reputation within the trading industry includes having built global sales and trading franchises at several Wall St firms, including Prudential Bache Commodities, Jefferies Group, and R.J. O’Brien.

Matthew Ardizzone, Managing Director at StoneX Digital, commented: “StoneX’s broad product portfolio and geographic scale makes us well-placed to deliver a comprehensive digital assets solutions offering to financial institutions as the market looks more towards well-established and regulated entities for their needs. I am pleased to join StoneX at this time to build out the digital asset business within StoneX’s global multi-asset platform”.

Brian Mulcahy, Chief Operating Officer at StoneX Digital, said: “Matthew brings strong institutional markets expertise to StoneX with a record of delivering growth and value for clients. This is another step towards StoneX becoming a leading solutions provider in digital assets and complements the growth of numerous established StoneX businesses.”
