This strategic move reflects STT’s commitment to advancing its Risk & Margin offering to cater to the evolving needs of the capital markets.

Brian Saldeen joins STT after E*Trade, Morgan Stanley, and Apex Fintech

Before joining STT, Brian Saldeen held key roles at prominent financial institutions, including E*Trade, Morgan Stanley, and Apex Fintech Services.

His illustrious career began at Susquehanna Investment Group, where he initially traded equity options on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

This diverse background, combining trading expertise and product management acumen, equips him with a profound understanding of risk management and margin applications.

STT offers advanced analytics via Risk-as-a-Service (RaaS) model

The Sterling Risk & Margin System (SRM) stands at the core of STT’s offerings, delivering advanced analytics through a Risk-as-a-Service (RaaS) model. This empowers financial firms to monitor client Reg T, portfolio margin, and custom house policy requirements in real-time. Additionally, they can access advanced post-execution risk analytics for US and global equities, options, and futures.

Key highlights of the advanced system functionality, which was launched in Q3, include the incorporation of FX & Crypto asset classes, the introduction of Day Trading Margin capabilities, an Options Expiration Analysis API, and enhanced PM FINRA Reporting.

Jen Nayar, President and CEO of Sterling Trading Tech, commented: “Utilizing the Sterling Risk and Margin System provides our clients with a competitive advantage via its regulatory capability and advanced calculations. Our solution helps solve their challenges of managing risk and margin across asset classes and across different clearing firms and prime brokers. Brian will lead the continued advancement of our Risk & Margin solution as we anticipate both industry and client demand.”

The appointment of Brian Saldeen as Senior Risk & Margin Product Manager at Sterling Trading Tech signifies a bold step forward for the company as it continues to innovate and provide industry-leading solutions to its clients in the dynamic and evolving world of capital markets.
