SubQuery extends its indexing service to Ethereum network
Polkadot’s data indexing solution SubQuery is extending its offering to support projects building on the Ethereum ecosystem, providing developers with the data they need to improve the efficiency of their dApps.
Notably, SubQuery is not the first indexing protocol to launch a decentralized data aggregation, indexing, and querying layer on Ethereum. But despite being a beta release, SubQuery’s Ethereum support is a significant step forward for the decentralized web3 data indexing toolkit. SubQuery also offers developers a faster alternative to other solutions like The Graph for indexing and querying data on the Ethereum network, helping developers solve a raft of infrastructural problems.
The latest integration of Ethereum support builds on SubQuery’s existing support for other networks, including Avalanche, Flare, Cosmos (Ethermint), and Polkadot (FrontierEVM). This means that SubQuery is quickly becoming a universal web3 data indexing toolkit that supports multiple blockchains, making it a versatile option for developers working on a range of decentralized applications.
SubQuery, which claims to be 1.85x faster than The Graph, uses multi-threading and optimisation of the store to reduce costly database writes. With faster sync times, developers face less complexities or delays in querying data from other dapps for use in their own products.
SubQuery is bringing its open data indexing solution to Ethereum as well as all the other tools, documentation, developer support, managed hosting, and other benefits that developers receive from its ecosystem.
Sam Zou, the Founder and CEO of SubQuery, said: “Ethereum has been on our radar since day one. Our experienced engineering team has put a lot of hard work into this integration, so that we can guarantee Ethereum developers will have a smooth and seamless experience indexing with SubQuery’s open-source SDK, tools and documentation. We can’t wait to collaborate with teams building on Ethereum with the power of our fast, flexible and universal indexer.”
Since its founding in 2021, SubQuery has served many Layer-1 blockchains and decentralized applications, including hundreds of millions of queries each day to projects in the Polkadot ecosystem.
SubQuery’s decentralized data indexing solution simplifies the process of organizing, exploring and querying on-chain data. It also frees developers’ resources to focus on product development and user experience rather than building their own querying systems. Abstracting the backend, SubQuery eliminates the need for custom data processing servers.
