David Shalders, currently interim Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee, will now become Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee on a permanent basis.

TP ICAP PLC (LON:TCAP) today announces Board Committee changes, as David Shalders, currently interim Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee, will now become Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee on a permanent basis. He is also appointed a member of the Audit Committee with immediate effect.

David Shalders

David Shalders was appointed to the Board in February 2014. He is Group Operations & Technology Director at Willis Towers Watson plc, responsible for IT, operations, real estate and change management functions.

He joined Willis Towers Watson from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group where he served for over a decade in senior operations and IT roles, most recently as Global Chief Operating Officer for Global Banking and Markets. He also led the division’s regulatory response to Basel 3. Prior to that, he led the Group’s integration with ABN Amro and held roles as Head of London and Asia Operations and Head of Derivative Operations for NatWest.

Also today, TP ICAP announced that Angela Knight, non-executive director and a member of the Audit Committee, is appointed to the Risk Committee with immediate effect.

Speaking of changes at the top of TP ICAP, let’s recall that, in December 2018, the company announced that Richard Berliand will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman designate.

Mr Berliand is currently a member of the Supervisory Board, and until recently Deputy Chairman, of Deutsche Börse AG, the Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee at Man Group plc, and a member of the Board of Rothesay Life Plc. Mr Berliand is an experienced Non-Executive board member and committee Chair with more than 30 years of expertise within the financial services sector.
