TrustPay launches SEPA instant payments

Rick Steves

” Our clients will now be able to make instant transactions with the immediate settlement of funds, which makes business more effective in today’s fast world.”

TrustPay has launched Single Euro Payments Area (Sepa) instant payments to provide clients with the ability to pay and receive payments from SEPA countries instantly, within seconds, 24/7, with funds being available to recipients immediately.

Adding SEPA Instant is the first step toward offering more products related to real-time payments by TrustPay. The European provider of online payments solutions states that Euro transactions are processed in seconds, regardless of time and day of the week. The e-commerce business continues to grow, which makes Instant Payments more relevant than ever.

Instant Payments make up nearly 12% of all SEPA payments

David Rintel, Chief Executive Officer at TrustPay, said: “Instant Payments now make up nearly 12% of all SEPA payments and we believe they are the future of EU payments. As of last week, all eligible inbound payments into IBANIZE accounts are processed instantly, at no extra cost. The next major challenge is to build a low cost, seamless e-commerce product utilising the instant payment rails.”

Karin Milková, Commercial Director, TrustPay, commented: “Launch of SEPA Instant Payments is yet another great milestone for our company. With this latest offering, we continue our mission to drive efficiency and support the latest trends. Our clients will now be able to make instant transactions with the immediate settlement of funds, which makes business more effective in today’s fast world.”

TrustPay was founded in 2009 and provides secure e-commerce payments across the European Economic Area since then, with a focus on online businesses with cross-border reach.

TrustPay’s portfolio includes worldwide online card payment processing, modern accounts for online businesses, fast-growing portfolio of local payment methods, and innovative reconciliation tools.

The company has recently partnered with Trustly, a popular way to pay in the Nordic countries that provides payments directly from bank accounts using online banking credentials. Thanks to this partnership, TrustPay will bring its clients the opportunity to use another popular European payment method.

The firm has also teamed up with Axepta BNP Paribas to offer its clients the opportunity to accept payments via the French local card scheme Carte Bancaires. More than 95% of French cards are Cartes Bancaires co-branded with Visa or Mastercard.

Other recent partnership include Paytrail, MobilePay, PayPal, SOFORT, and Aircash.
