Cedric Lizin joins Standard Chartered Private Bank as head of regional business

Cedric Lizin will become Regional Head, ASEAN & South Asia, Private Banking, subject to regulatory approval.

Standard Chartered Private Bank today announces the appointment of Cedric Lizin as Regional Head, ASEAN & South Asia, Private Banking. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Cedric Lizin joins from UBS, where his most recent position was that of Head of Wealth Management and Senior Executive Officer for Dubai. He brings a depth of knowledge, including that from his previous roles as a COO and building out platforms in Asia as well as an onshore Japan business.

Cedric Lizin will be based in Singapore and report to Didier von Daeniken, Global Head, Private Banking and Wealth Management.

Mr Lizin will succeed Srinivas Siripurapu, currently Regional Head, ASEAN & South Asia, and Global Head, Global South Asia Community, Private Banking. Mr Siripurapu is leaving the Bank to spend time with his family in India. His last day with the Bank will be October 8, 2019.

Standard Chartered notes that Siripurapu Srinivas has been with the Bank for three years and has played a pivotal role in driving the turnaround and strategic growth agenda for the Private Bank in the region. His strengths in client relationships as well as leadership in enhancing frontline capability and embedding a performance culture have contributed significantly to the business, the Bank says.

Andrew Ho, Managing Director and Market Head, South & Southeast Asia, Private Banking, will take on interim responsibilities for the Private Banking business in the region until Cedric Lizin joins later this year.
