CMC Markets updates mobile apps for iOS devices
The latest versions of the CMC CFD Trading and CMC Spread Betting apps come along with enhanced charting capabilities and support, new alert types and refreshed Dashboard.
Online financial services provider CMC Markets Plc (LON:CMCX) has been very active lately with regards to launching new institutional products, such as its Prime Derivatives solution. It is worth noting, however, that the broker has not turned a blind eye on its retail clients, as the company has just released updated versions of its CFD and Spread Betting applications for iOS-powered gadgets.
The changes are apparent from the login moment, as the Account login now offers cleaner design. Importantly for traders’ security, the apps offer fingerprint login and a customisable ‘Lock-App’ timer. The Dashboard is also refreshed – it comes along with all new layout showing a snapshot of one’s account and popular trading tools.
Other changes affect the Notifications centre, which now offers new alert types, greater customisation capabilities and improved messaging. Charting has also enjoyed an update, as it offers white background, chart extensions and a number of new indicators.
The apps also provide more information – CMC TV, Twitter, YouTube integration, plus live trader event information.
CMC CFD Trading app offers trading in CFDs on indices, currency pairs, commodities, shares and treasuries. The app provides traders with instant access to their CFD account, allowing them to view and amend positions and trade on live streaming prices. Traders can also fund their account and customise advanced preferences, including preferred defaults.
The array of features and tools available on the app includes: Advanced search, Advanced order tickets, Price ladder for automated instant execution of significantly larger bet sizes, the ability to create watchlists and view instrument details, Multiple chart types, more than 35 technical analysis indicators and drawing tools, Real-time market calendar with push alerts, and CMC Markets analysts’ commentary via the ‘Insights’ tool.
Let’s note that in November, CMC Markets reported 56% of the value of Next Generation client trades completed on mobile devices in H1 FY18 (compared to 50% in H1 FY17). The broker also said its digital team is focusing on several core areas to support the overall growth of the business, including improving the application process and increasing the share of applications coming from mobile.
