Curve taps Nuvei to streamline card-acquiring processes and add alternative payments

“Payments play a critical role in the user experience for financial services providers, and the market is becoming increasingly competitive. We are proud to partner with Curve to enhance the product it is offering to its customers, and to enable Curve to reach its customers, wherever they are and however they want to pay.”

Canadian fintech powerhouse Nuvei Corporation has announced its strategic partnership with Curve, the rapidly expanding financial super app.

The collaboration aims to streamline card-acquiring processes and integrate alternative payment methods (APMs) for consumer transactions involving Curve’s digital wallet.

Mastercard and VISA payments + analytics + reporting tools

Nuvei’s cutting-edge payment technology stack will enable Curve, a fintech app and card issuer, to efficiently process VISA and Mastercard transactions. Leveraging Nuvei’s smart routing engine, the partnership is set to optimize card payment acceptance while minimizing operational costs. Curve customers can also expect the availability of all pertinent APMs in each market where the app operates.

Shachar Bialick, Curve’s Founder & CEO, said, “Our goal at Curve is to be the most customer-centric app, simplifying the way they spend, so industry-leading customer experience is critical to Curve’s service. Consumers simply will not tolerate delays or the inability to transfer funds, so we are proud to partner with Nuvei.”

The partnership will also enable Curve to utilize Nuvei’s real-time reporting tools, granting the company a unified view into all transactions. This is particularly crucial for the financial services industry, which requires robust analytics to effectively route payment traffic and optimize payment flows.

Beyond enhancing payment services in Curve’s existing European markets, the partnership is poised to catalyze Curve’s international expansion. Bialick noted, “Nuvei enables us to accelerate our growth and scale at pace without compromising the optimization of our payments function. Partnering with a global payments provider fast-tracks our growth plans.”

Philip Fayer, Nuvei’s Chair and CEO, added, “Payments play a critical role in the user experience for financial services providers, and the market is becoming increasingly competitive. We are proud to partner with Curve to enhance the product it is offering to its customers, and to enable Curve to reach its customers, wherever they are and however they want to pay.”
