For Jon Chapman, 16 years of institutional and interbank FX and electronic trading has led to the re-establishment of a training academy which differs significantly from many mainstream FX education services that are currently available.
Mr. Chapman’s foray into the institutional FX and liquidity provision sector began in February 2013 when he joined the London operations of Boston Technology and Boston Prime as eFX Institutional Sales and PB Manager for the EMEA region where he was responsible for providing liquidity to FX market participants including banks, hedge funds, brokers, white labels, fund and money managers via FIX API and the ubiquitous MetaTrader 4 platform.
Leaving Boston Prime and Boston Technologies in November 2014, Mr. Chapman moved to FxPro Prime in London, where he was Manager for Institutional Sales and Prime Brokerage, however as last year drew to a close, Mr. Chapman left the company in order to pursue the re-establishment of Knightsbridge Trading Academy, a company that he founded four years ago.
Knightsbridge Training Academy, Mr. Chapman assumes the position of Director of Institutional and Retail FX which involves mitigating client risk and, according to Mr. Chapman the very important factor of driving revenue through the thoughtful promotion of the company’s personalised FX products and their functionality.
With regard to the relaunch of the company, Mr. Chapman today spoke to FinanceFeeds CEO Andrew Saks-McLeod, stating:
“I have now moved on and from Boston and FxPro to re-launch Knightsbridge Trading Academy. We are coaching people from all walks of life from retail through to Institutional trader through our personalised programmes, and also working with the London Stock Exchange on our Institutional delegates.”
Before entering the institutional FX sector, Mr. Chapman spent two years at Singaporean wealth management company AAM Advisory Pte between 2007 and 2009, after six years between 2000 and 2006 within a series of specialist positions in exotic derivatives, emerging market derivatives and interest rate derivatives at Nomura, JPMorgan Chase and Standard Chartered Bank.
Educated privately at Millfield School in Somerset, England, Mr. Chapman attended Oxford Brookes University between 1998 and 2000.
