Senior level appointments in London’s institutional sector are well underway for the first week of 2016, with Bank of America Merrill Lynch Head of FX Prime Brokerage having joined cross-border payment specialist Earthport.
Mr. Klein has this week assumed he position of Global Head of FX at Earthport, bringing his senior level institutional experience in FX to the firm’s management.

Before joining Earthport, Mr. Klein spent a year as co-founder of a start up called Phi Finance which was established to specialize in peer to peer lending.
Mr. Klein’s entrepreneurial venture was preceded by three years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Global Head of FX Prime Brokerage and Clearing, preceded by a similar position at JPMorgan between 2009 and 2011 as Global Head of FX Prime Brokerage.
Before joining JPMorgan, Mr. Klein was COO of Arbela Investment Management, a position he took up after having been CEO of Saxo Bank’s London operations for just over three years between 2005 and 2008.
Joining Saxo Bank after eight years as Head of Oceania and the Nordic region for EBS Dealing Resources at Citicorp, Mr. Klein had amassed substantial global experience having covered Sydney, Stockholm and London since joining EBS in 1996 and leaving in 2004 to head Saxo Bank’s London operations.
Mr. Klein speaks English, Swedish, Danish and German, and was educated at Australia’s Macquarie University where he graduated with a Masters degree in business.
