British spread betting and CFD company IG Group has promoted John Austin to Chief Analytics Officer this week, following three years at the firm as Head of Research.

Mr. Austin rejoined IG Group’s London operations in April 2012 from the company’s Chicago-based subsidiary, binary options exchange NADEX, where he held the position of Executive Director, and Interim CEO.

Whilst in Chicago, Mr. Austin was CEO of IG Group US Holdings Inc for two years between 2010 and 2012, preceded by two years at Barclays Capital in New Product Development for Structured Capital Markets, a position following which he rejoined IG Group.
