The latest version of IB TWS for Android introduces Order Presets in the Cloud.

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:IBKR) has recently updated its TWS mobile app functionalities with a focus on order presets.

The latest version of the IB TWS app for Android gadgets introduces Order Presets in the Cloud. Presets created in desktop can now be applied to mobile orders. Order Presets in TWS are used to specify default order parameters, like order type and order quantity. Putting it otherwise, Order Presets represent a hierarchical layout of order strategies whose characteristics and values are set ahead of time, and can be set as the default order strategy or can be selected prior to the creation of an order. For instance, you may use this feature to allow all orders to activate outside regular trading hours.

This feature is being gradually rolled out. At this time, presets can only be modified in the desktop version of the TWS platform, but the ability to modify presets in TWS for Mobile will be offered soon.

Continuing with the novelties in TWS for Android, let’s mention that traders can use a new Feedback menu to send Interactive Brokers their comments.

Also, “Display Combo Positions” is now auto-activated to display named strategies in one’s Portfolio (vs individual legs). This setting can be managed in Portfolio settings.

The IB TWS trading application offers electronic access to stocks, options, FX, futures and futures options. Customers get real-time streaming data and charts, as well as the ability to transmit orders instantaneously or use the order ticket, thy can also monitor their trades and make use of immediate access to their account balances and portfolio data.

The list of IB TWS features also includes a BookTrader trading tool, real-time market scanners, real-time alerts with email notification, and access to daily IB market briefs.

The latest update to Interactive Brokers’ TWS platform is released after earlier this month the broker beefed up the capabilities of the IB TWS app for iOS devices. The novel functionalities include enhancements to options chains, easier order submission, as well as support for 3D Touch in Watchlist and Portfolio.
