Updated IG Academy mobile app brings support for more languages
The broker has added Dutch, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish to the application.

Electronic trading major IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) has just released a new version of the IG Academy application for iOS devices.
This version (2.4) of the solution brings support for more languages. The broker has added Dutch, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish. These languages come on top of already available ones like English (of course), French and German.
The latest update is released about a month after the preceding update to the application, which saw the introduction of brand-new feature where traders can join live webinars with leading trading experts. In addition, the app became fully compatible with iPhone X to give traders the best experience. Users of the solution also got to manage their marketing preferences.
IG Academy, as its name suggests, aims to teach its users how to trade straight from their phones.
Downloading the application is free of charge. Users of the solution may learn about trading financial assets such as shares, indices, Forex and commodities, and find out how to capitalise on both rising and falling markets. They can also discover how to trade using leverage, execute orders and develop a trading plan. In addition, the application offers traders a way to understand risk management and how to protect their profits or limit potential losses. From a psychological point of view, the solution enables traders to gain the confidence to decide what, when and how to trade.
Talking of novelties for clients of IG, let’s recall that in June this year, IG Community, the forum and support network for clients of the broker, reappeared with a fresh new design and boosted functionality. The upgrade includes the addition of greater functionality and new content areas. For instance, the forum offers three blogs:
- Market News – Daily morning briefings, index dividend adjustments, and one-off articles;
- IG Product Updates – A place to let traders know about all the things IG rolls out;
- IG Community Blog – Competitions, ‘Ask the Expert’ series, and Community updates.
The purpose of the forum remains to be a friendly space for like-minded clients to share trade ideas and discuss market opportunities, ask questions, and provide help and support to others.
