Retail FX company FXPRIMUS has today announced the appointment of former IronFX Head of Global FX Strategy and prominent financial analyst Marshall Gittler, as the new Head of Investment Research.

As part of this new appointment, he will be utilizing the most cutting edge media, web and print channels to disseminate his own unique brand of financial analysis to clients of FXPRIMUS, in order to empower them with the knowledge to make the best investment decisions.

Mr. Gittler is a well renowned personality within the FX industry, and has a series of high profile positions with major financial institutions behind him.

Before joining IronFX in 2012, where he served for three years as Head of Global FX Strategy, Mr. Gittler was Chief Investment Officer at Bank of China in Geneva, Switzerland, where he maintained responsibility for chairing the investment committee, as well as managed the bank’s discretionary funds and oversaw its advisory business.

He joined IronFX when Bank of China closed its Swiss operations in 2012.

Mr. Gittler’s tenure at Bank of China was preceded by six years as Chief Strategist for the APAC and EMEA regions at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he was based in Singapore between 2005 and 2008, before moving to Geneva, Switzerland in 2008 until 2011.

At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Gittler was a member of the Global Investment Committee, responsible for the house view and was in charge of FX for the committee.

Prior to joining the Wealth Management division, Mr. Gittler was Senior Currency Strategist at Deutsche Bank, having been hired by his former superior at Merrill Lynch who had moved to Deutsche Bank to head the FX research division.

Between 1998 and 2002, Mr. Gittler was Head of the Asian Currency Stategy Group at Bank of America, based in Hong Kong and Tokyo, preceded by 5 years at Merrill Lynch in Tokyo as Fixed Income Strategist.

Educated at Carleton College, Mr. Gittler holds a Batchelors degree in History, as well as a Japanese History degree from Kyoto University in Japan. He speaks English and Japanese fluently.
