Barclays names Philipp Gillmann Managing Director and Head of Logistics Banking EMEA

The appointment of Mr Gillmann, who will be based in Frankfurt, gets into effect on September 1, 2020.

Barclays Investment Bank today announces the appointment of Philipp Gillmann as a Managing Director and Head of Logistics Banking EMEA.

Mr Gillmann will be based in Frankfurt, and will report to Peter Kimpel, Head of Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Asim Mullick and Richard Probert, Co-Heads of Industrials Banking EMEA. Mr. Gillmann will work closely with Chris Brooks, Co-Head of Global Transportation Banking and Head of Logistics Banking, and Chad Parker, Co-Head of Global Transportation Banking, to further develop cross-border opportunities for global clients.

Mr Gillmann joins Barclays from Rothschild & Co where he spent more than 13 years, most recently as a Managing Director in the Global Advisory Group leading coverage of the logistics sector globally, as well as the business services sector in the DACH region. Prior to Rothschild & Co, Mr Gillmann was a corporate finance project manager at accounting and consultancy firm EbnerStolz.

Mr Gillmann is set to join Barclays on September 1, 2020.
