The brokerage is working to provide more comprehensive support for mutual funds across all of its trading platforms.

Online trading major Interactive Brokers is working to provide more comprehensive support for mutual funds across all of its trading platforms. In the latest beta releases of its TWS platform, the brokerage has enabled charting for funds.

The company invites traders to check back often for more updates on funds enhancements, including the ability to screen over 11,000 funds from over 240 fund families to help narrow one’s selection, a Mutual Funds scanner, rating and style scores for funds, and much more.

In one of the recent (beta) builds of TWS, the platform offered continuous sorting for portfolio columns and the ability to use the cash quantity feature for stock order entry. When the traders specify a cash value for their order, that value in conjunction with the instrument price drives the number of shares purchased or sold. If the price moves, the number of shares is adjusted to accommodate the entered cash value.

Another recent addition to the TWS platform are the “For You Notifications”. These sort through changes then debrief traders on the most important events and updates in their account since their last login. Traders get to see filled orders and open orders that might benefit from their attention, dividends collected and the top contributing stocks, interest earned and important options activity. To get additional details for each listed event, traders have to tap More, with related tools put right at their fingertips.
