JPMorgan bids goodbye to digital banking app Finn

On August 10, customers of Finn will have their checking accounts changed to Chase Secure Checking and their savings accounts – to Chase Savings.

PMorgan Chase is saying goodbye to its all digital banking app Finn, which was aimed at younger clientele. A message on Finn’s dedicated webpage says:

“Finn is going away, but we’re bringing the best part of it—our customers —into the Chase Mobile® app. We’re excited to continue offering our customers tools that help them make the most of their money”.

On August 10, Finn customers will have their checking accounts changed to Chase Secure Checking and their savings accounts – to Chase SavingsSM. The account number, PIN, user ID and password, and direct deposit all stay the same. Customers of Finn will also continue to enjoy no monthly service fees.

Finn customers will not be able to use the Finn app after August 10, so they are advised to download the Chase Mobile app. They can use their existing login to manage their money.

User of the Chase app can:

  • Pay bills and set up recurring payments;
  • Move money with Chase QuickDeposit and Chase QuickPay® with Zelle®;
  • Use Chase Offers;
  • Find tips to better manage one’s money;
  • Set autosave rules (the Finn rules won’t carry over, so customers will need to create new ones after August 10).

In June 2018, Chase announced that its all-mobile bank, Finn by Chase, became available nationwide to iOS users, offering millions of consumers a fully digital banking experience that helps them spend smarter and save better. Finn’s customer roll-out marked its debut in St. Louis in October 2017.
