Refinitiv’s wealth management team were able to build a customised platform that integrates Stellan’s main technological requirements.

Provider of financial markets data and infrastructure Refinitiv today announces it will partner with boutique private wealth management firm Stellan Capital to provide it with a customised open data platform which will enable the delivery of highly individualised financial solutions to the firm’s high net worth client base.

Using its trusted data, insights and leveraging the advanced technology of their Eikon solution, Refinitiv’s wealth management team were able to build a customised platform that integrates Stellan’s main technological requirements including global access to market data, content and research, with efficient global order execution across over 30 exchanges. Other benefits include portfolio analytics, portfolio modelling and efficient rebalancing capabilities.

Refinitv’s open platform has been seamlessly integrated into Stellan’s other core systems, including their chosen Australian-based compliance and monitoring system, Australian ASX listed multi-currency tax reporting solution as well as their global custodian.

David Leon, Stellan Capital founding partner and portfolio manager, explained why the firm chose to partner with Refinitiv to develop its customised platform. “Our core motivation in establishing Stellan was that we recognised there was a systematic shift in investor demand for a pure relationship centred model where financial advice is truly bespoke and transparent for the client. Not only was Refinitiv’s unparalleled data and enhanced digital-first capabilities an obvious benefit to our clients but it was also clear that Refinitiv really understood how important it was for us as a boutique firm to meet the increasing demands of a more sophisticated investor.”

Stellan Capital is a national boutique wealth management firm that was established in August 2019 by an esteemed group of advisers who had previously worked at various leading global banks. The firm’s founders came together with the aim of redefining the client experience for private investors in Australia using the group’s expertise in local and international markets, asset allocation, financial planning and alternative investments.
